This mod is perfect if you decide to role play it as Murphy deciding to run around naked once in a while :-)
But seriously, thanks for creating this mod. I was fascinated by that scene when I was a kid, so awesome, sad and terrifying at the same time :-)
Would it be possible to make this droid replace the "Robocop 2" skin? It is more lore friendly (sort of), and I can then alternate between the God's perfect cyborg armour and this one :-)
Sure, I will make it if I have a time and motivation for it ;) The one process that really take time and painful is (re) rigging process. We should synchronize (re-targeting) bones hierarchy and its vertex weight (yeah, we can transfer vertex weight data between them, but sometimes the result is not good, we have to "re-paint" vertex weight again for smooth and realistic character animation movement).
After see this mod in nexus what can i say it's look very impressive and fantastic job with that mod you success to create we are enable to play as 100% a robot and machine i didn't play the mod yet but if i do a second playthrough of robocop rogue city i won't forget to install the mod for that robocop rogue city mod i give 10/10 you did a good job.
Alex was right. You can access it with DLC Alex Murphy pack. Go to the beginning menu > options > gameplay tab > choose "Robocop Skin" (Classic, Robocop 2, Damage Suit)
Correct me if I'm wrong, but I think what RoboCop4 meant was that he hopes that you could some day make a more movie authentic blue color mod for the RC2 skin (as do I for that matter ^^).
By the way Crubino, I'm really enjoying the mod you did for the gloves! Now they are really movie accurate, and look like they should! Pitch black, and glossy. Not dark gray and dark blue, lol! WTF is up with those default dark blue gloves on the RC2 skin, Teyon!? Teyon---> ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
Anyways, thank you so much for that mod, man. Really appreciate it. I have some more exciting sound mods coming up after the Auto-9 mod, and twirl & leg holster mod, so stay tuned!
I have a question regarding the scanlines in the game when holding the aim button. Is it possible to make a mod that always shows the scanlines only when you control Robo and not in the cutscenes, and also without needing to use reshade?
I know there is a scanlines mod released already. But unfortunately on that mod, the scanlines are always on, even in cutscenes, and you must use reshade for it to work.
@Cyberdyne You're welcome, mate! :) I'm glad you like it.
Regarding the scanline effect (screen interlace effect) I'm still figure out how it work and how to manipulate it. It's based on Material for post-processing (bind as array in UE post processing volume box). I'm still looking up how to inject our custom Material into UE5.2 modding, but still failed. They change so much compare prior UE version :(
Correct, yep. The RoboCop 2 skin in the game is a dark silver/purple tint colour. It's not movie authentic. The actual RoboCop 2 armour colour is a much lighter blue shade.
Ah, I see. Awesome that you're looking into it. Hope you find a solution, mate. Always having scanlines on when controlling Robo really does wonders for the immersion. But also having it on in cutscenes does the opposite, lol😆
@Robocop4 Can you at least post a reference of what you called it as "movie authentic" ? Shader is shader, and Unreal is Unreal. I can coloring or painting it as I want. But I need at least a photo or picture reference for it.
Meanwhile, I made my own skin style of RoboCop 2 suit.. LOL:
Yes, please send me more and more detail photo. as the picture above is NOT from movie; we should make consensus what is the meaning of " RoboCop 2 authentic blue color Armor" since I've get information from insider; they (the developer) was using many photo reference of RoboCop 2 before made the current Robocop Skin 2. So I think the "authentic blue color Armor" is so relative. It's so difficult to pleasing all people, as they have their owned preference.
To made "black glossy" shading color was easier, but make "blue color" in a clear coat metal shader is so relative. What kind of blue? Even the same dark blue, we will have different type (Navy, Midnight Blue, etc.).
By the way, I'm looking at this blue visor, could you make a red visor for the Robocop 2 skin? When I was a child, I had a favorite toy - a robocop from Toy Island. He was saying different phrases from the movie and his red visor was glowing) Nothing important, of course, but for nostalgia...)
The RoboCop 2 game skin in comparison (much darker with more purple hues):

I'm not sure what you would call the movie RoboSuit colour? A metallic electric blue? (I dont know) The developers probably found it very difficult to implement s- so went with a compromise of a darker grey with purple hues.
By the way, I was looking at this blue visor, could you make a red light in the middle of his visor (which occasionally panned the whole visor) cause when I was a kid, I used to watch that old cartoon from the 80s and it was my first introduction to that cyborg cop. Nothing important, of course, but for nostalgia... https://www.cinema-crazed.com/blog/wp-content/uploads/2019/08/RoboCop-1.jpg
I remember being disturbed by that prototype in the Robocop 2 movie where it rips off its head to reveal a human skull and it's really kind of shocking if you think about it.
Yep, a 'murdered cop' who has realised he has been murdered and turned into a machine against his will - and subsequently become insane and suicidal - really dark.
