    Would you mind explaining how to import them back into the game after editing? I'd love to tweak one file (DT_FPPRifleSettings), I extracted it as a json and edited the lines I was interested in, but I've been stuck on how to import it back to uasset and then into the original pak.

      Did you try Fluffyquack for repacking it to a new Pak after modifying values?

      Also note, with these configs you can generally save changes in your game config files.

      DefaultGame.ini = Game.ini, etc

      If that doesnt work, then it will need to be repacked and checked with every release since configs can change

      @Samiam76 Fluffyquack doesn't allow you to convert the json back to uasset, so the game ignores it inside the created pak.
      @jeremyrem for the ones in your config ini files collection here, yes, but the one I'm wanting to edit is a config json file only found in one of the paks, not in your userdata folder.

      Hey thanks. I've overseen that it came as a json and not an asset. Of course in that case it cannot work that way!

    is there any way to edit packed files (uasset etc) without having unreal engine installed? unpacking is the easy part.

      There are a few tools I use like UAssetGUI and AssetEditor which have UE5 support now
