Q: The game crashes when starting it, why? A: Make sure default_other.pak.cache is deleted. Game updates will redownload this file so you'll have to delete it again.
Q: The mod doesn't work - the working widths stay the same/can't control vehicles, why? A: Most probably you have installed the mod incorrectly. Verify the integrity of the game files (this will delete anything you modded in already!) then follow the steps again carefully. Make sure it's the ssl folder you drag and drop into the default_other.pak, and make sure you delete the cache file again. I recommend using 7-Zip but if you have issues with it WinRar can work too. A2: The mod is outdated. Some updates can mess up the mod. In this case please write me a private message here on Nexus and I'll have a look into it. I don't play the game regularly so you may notice the mod being broken earlier than I do.
Q: Can I mix up different packs, so for example dozers are at 20m, asphalt rollers at 15m, and asphalters are at 10m working width? A: Yes it is possible however I recommend using a tool I made, Vehicle Editor to do so, it will be much faster. If you want to do it manually just download the different working widths you want to use, then open the folders inside the mod until you see folders with vehicle names. Delete those you don't want to be at the given working width, do this with all the other paks you downloaded. As a result you should have max. 3 ssl folders you drag and drop into the pak the same way as you did with the single ssl folder.
Q: Can we modify the working width to be x meters? A: You can, except it's complicated to explain it without writing an essay here. I again recommend using Vehicle Editor to do it as it is much faster with it (it can mod your games without you needing to drag and drop anything anywhere, just select where your pak file is then that's it!)
You still have a question?
As I am unable to read your mind please provide actual information instead of saying "it doesn't work". Provide: what doesn't work, what you did step by step, what program caused your issue. If there is no actual information that can help me to get you going on with your issue don't except help - as I can't provide it.
Hi, it worked until Patch 2.1 for sure. I'll have a look to see if the mod has any conflicts with 2.2, and report back here. EDIT: You just have the wrong version installed. Make sure to download the latest version.
i have a problem with the mod , when i install it it bugs the game where its allways says saving and icant exit or save the progress i have to force quit the game
Hello and sorry for the inconvenience but even after reinstalling the game and following the instructions like the video I have a message displayed: the specific access path cannot be found. Without the update I was successful however
Where do you get this error? Probably the easiest and fastest way to resolve your issue would be that you record yourself installing the mod and I'll have a look at it.
bonjour et désolé du dérangement mais même après avoir réinstaller le jeux et bien suivi les instruction comme la vidéo jai un message affiche : le chemin d'accès spécifique est introuvable. sans la mise a jour javai bien réussi pourtant
I just wanted to say thank you once again, I honestly thought that when I originally installed this the first time, and I did read the detailed instructions, was how it was supposed to be installed. It was working like a charm before the patch and the install issue was just me not reading it correctly. I got too excited that you fixed it post patch. I think I can speak for a lot of us when I say we appreciate your time and effort to put out mods and also stay active in the comments. Keep up the great work!! You are appreciated.
By any chance, did today's hot fix mess up the patch? I have tried numerous times, reverified files over and over, installed the mod like I did previously, and can't get it to work. I had no issues before today's patch, but just spent 30 minutes trying and no go.
What's wrong with it? Does your game crash? Or the working width isn't set correctly? Or you can't roll asphalt? Do you have Steam/Epic Games version? Can you record yourself installing the mod? I've just gone ahead and tested 10m pack to be sure - and it works fine for me.
You're dragging the wrong folder over, open the folder inside the zipped file, there will be an ssl and a README.txt in it. Drag and drop the ssl folder into the default_other.pak.
I know youve been answering all of our questions, and I appreciate that very much. Tried searching but couldn't find the answer I'm looking for. Should just delete the old files I originally downloaded from you before the patch and download the mod again? Or just reinstall again? Once again, thank you for your efforts and we all appreciate that you've been active in answering us.
Download the mod again and install that as the update changed some of the files the mod also changes, so if you reinstall the old version of the mod you will revert those changes too, which you don't want. You can find the updated mod here (files tab of this mod), the only change I made is that I seperated the mod into 3 different downloads, choose which width(s) you want then download it, unzip it, and follow the instructions in README.txt. You can delete the old mod files as they won't work properly in RoadCraft v2.x. Edit: I've gone ahead and updated the description of the mod. Thanks for the suggestions.
Like was once said. since 2.0 the roller won't even move with this mod. It's looking for a missing UI in your mod. Maybe if you could post the changes that you made to make the previous version work(pre 2.0), maybe we could take it from there. Thanks again awesome mod.
I have tested it via the 10 and 20m pack and it works fine. Make sure you've followed installation instructions in README.txt. In the "Files" tab of this mod you will find 3 downloads: 10, 15, and 20m pack. Those are the updated ones. (before RoadCraft v2 these were available to download as one but I've decided to seperate them into different downloads) Verify integrity of game files (if you have any pak mods installed it'll remove those!), drag and drop the ssl folder that the mod provides into default_other.pak (via 7z), delete default_other.pak.cache and launch the game.
If everything's done correctly it should be working, I have the button to toggle asphalt rolling, the working width is increased too and it works on all rollers. Someone had the same issue and messaged me privately - but he/she reinstalled the mod and it worked apparently.
Technically there's nothing extra I added or removed from this version, all I did was that I got the new cls files from the update, changed the working width in those new cls files and I uploaded them here.
I tested it with 15m pack too just to be safe and it also works. Most probably verifying game files then reinstalling the mod will help you. Don't forget to delete cache file after verifying game files as it will redownload it.
Yeah i got it to work had to start all over. I don't know why the code got so messed up. But for future reference at least i know the change for the roller is on line 4117. Too bad i had to comb the code all the way to the bottom just to find it. It's all good.
Can you verify your game files (this will delete any modded paks!), then reinstall the mod? I've tested the mod and it works fine for me. There shouldn't be anything modified in the files that change how the vehicles behave control-wise. Edit: Also they've put out a hotfix today, not sure if that changes anything for the rollers, I am looking into it now and will update the mod if there are changes. Edit2: I have compared my modded files to original game files (v2.1) - there is nothing different in it other than the width. It is an issue on your end. Verifying game files, then reinstalling the mod the way it is written in README.txt should work.

7-zip me fait l'erreur a chaque fois
