of course, just look up the tools. I used Risenaut/RisenPAK and tpledit. most of your resources will come from the worldofplayers risen 1 modding forum. you can open this mod file and see what I have changed - a single value, I also mentioned it in the mod description. I think there is a mod already doing this: https://www.nexusmods.com/risen/mods/25
Hello mate, i was able to extract the Edit PC hero file to make my modifications, but when i use RisenPAK to compact the templates folder, the game doesn't recognize the file. How do you compacted your template folder? I noticed your mod extension is .P00, but mine is only .00, does that have something to do with my mod not working? I would be really really grateful if you could help me!
it's been a while but as far as I remember, I simply renamed it and it worked. I mentioned something in one of the earlier comments about how different versions of the game seem to work with either .00 or .P00.
I think it should be known that this mod makes you run instead of walk even when you zoom in to target with the crossbow. This potentially unbalances the game, making kiting enemies extremely easy. I haven't tested the mod with magic or bow combat, but since all ranged targeting automatically makes the character walk, the effect will probably be the same.
I have never played through a PB game with a gamepad but .. in theory it should work with a gamepad too? You press some button to walk, but instead you will be sprinting. If you already tried it and it does not work then sorry but I finished and uninstalled the game a month or two ago now.
I am currently using it for the "new" risen (update from 24.01.2023), so .. it should work.
I found some info that the *.P00 file had to be named *.00 in earlier versions. If you have any problems then renaming the file extension might do the trick. I just changed a single value with unofficial mod tools so you might have to ask someone else if any errors persist.
