Could somebody please make a rar/zip containing .wav files of the gun sounds from various RE games?
Specifically RE7, RE8, and maybe RE2 & RE3 also?
Would be much appreciated.
You could simply post it here on nexus mods as a file to download and use however we choose?
Not everyone is fluent with pak files and tech stuff, so it would be enormously appreciated if converted/extracted to .wav files in minimum 16-bit 44kHz quality for retaining full audio fidelity.
I'm not sure if anything has changed since, but when I was making my ray gun mod and trying to replace the rocket pistol sound it was an absolute nightmare because of how difficult it was to find the exact sound I needed. The way it is now, most of the audio filenames are sequential numbers (01, 02, etc) packed into archives that are somewhat randomly named (ex. ri3121, ri3115, etc). Sometimes you can match it up somewhere else and figure out which archive you need, but other times it's more difficult. I'm sure this is why nobody has done this yet, as it would be time consuming and tedious.
do you know where all the sounds in the game are located? i can't seem to find them, other than the pistol sounds. they seem to be located somewhere else, compared to RE2 and RE3 paths. D:\SteamLibrary\steamapps\common\Resident Evil Village BIOHAZARD VILLAGE\natives
Most of them seem to be in \natives\stm\Sound\wwise - where did you find the pistol sounds? I was trying to find them for ages and found pretty much everything but them in that wwise folder
i may have extracted them wrong then(?) i'm not seeing "sounds". i thought it was a sfx for the pistol, but I think it's just textures, if all sfx are under sounds. D:\SteamLibrary\steamapps\common\Resident Evil Village BIOHAZARD VILLAGE\natives\stm\character\It\it02\001
what extraction tool are you using? is it "Unpack the Pak" or is there something new for RE8?
I'm using RETool: (1) PAK/TEX editing tool | (boards.net) Make sure you're using the right file list with the tool. The files under the character folder are just models and textures I think.
the pistol used might be in vibration.bnk, tl_se_c03_2.pck, or tl_se_c03_2.bnk under .018 and .019. 18 is the shot. 19 is the spent casing hitting wood.
this mod is cool and all....,but I do wish that someone would make a mod that has re4 sounds effects and replaces the save room with serenity etc... would be pretty cool but ah well i could dream :))
Thanks! I'm not sure why the file sizes are so small, but I think it is partially due to compression in the bnk format and because all the sounds in this particular file are just tiny sound bites.
