    Could you please tell how you made this mod, or how can i edit your mod? because i want just change firerates for some guns, not changing any damage.

      It's very complicated, I once tried to make a guide on how to mod weapons but it was taken down from the forum becouse it was too confusing and there were a lot of wrong informations. I am not a professional modder, so I do a lot of trial and error and well, sometimes it works other times it doesn't.

      Thanks for that, but at least can you tell what programs to use, maybe i`ll understand it myself? Really want those firerates without any damages buff.

      I don't use any program, just an hexadecimal editor (HxD)

      Well i used HxD some time ago, for modding Far Cry 4 (if i`m not mistaken), so if you would give me some pointers, i think i could make it myself. But unfortunately my video card overheated for some crapy reason, so i don`t know when i can try to test, oh balls.

      I would highly recommend to switch to 010 Editor which is like an IDE for hex editing, very easy to find things and with some skill you can write templates that can allow to map file structure and will allow to modify specific parts of a file (instead of writing a patch tool or manually writing files for every version/variant of the mod).

      can you please give at least some hints how to edit those files to acheve at least guns firerate change, that the only thing i want to change in this game.

    I have a request post_update. Can you further buff the Samurai Edge fire rate to be nearly as fast as you could pull the trigger. Also, if a reload speed increase is not possible, could the clip size be increased to 12-20 shots? That should give it stats fitting a $13 DLC.


    Secondly, since nexus won't let you share the instructions, Is it possible to create a Village Of Shadows friendly version that ends with the same rebalanced stats (which are great) but also has higher incremental stat gains during the earlier upgrades?

      Thanks for the feedback, I am planning to make a complete different mod this time, weapon's final stats should be more or less the same but I am going to change all of the upgrades and the initial stats to have a better progression. Also, their cost is going to be in line with the cost of the top weapons. 

      I am still trying to figure out how to mod weapons post update but before that the only thing I have been unable to change is weapon's starting capacity. But I can increase the reload speed. I am not sure what to do with the samurai edge, last time I buffed it's stats to make it a (very) good starting weapon, so yeah, in the late game it was kinda underwhelming. But considering we have the USM as an end game "good out of the box" pistol, I don't know if I want to give Samurai Edge "end game stats". How does the weapon fires by the way? Is it semi-auto like Lemi or "full auto" like the 1911? (I don't have that dlc so I can't test it).

      Thank you for the response. Unfortunately the gun is not automatic.  Your second edition mod works pretty well! I've been trying to change the file to get the Samurai Edge to be a balance between between it's previous incarnation in RE3 and the $13 DLC, which gameplay wise, only included this gun. In Re3 the gun was an unlockable storage trunk gun that couldn't be upgraded but had higher base damage and massive critical damage, so for those with good aim it would outperform their large magazine 9mm pistols.

      This mod already respecting the higher damage of fully upgraded pistols and the USM is a great idea. To counter the fact that the Samurai Edge DLC can't have infinite ammo, could this gun instead have the highest fire rate and a close second in reload speed?

    Hi again. Can you just make mod for increased reload for shotguns for 30%? That`s all i want to change in this game. Because after seeing speedruners reloading just one bullet for M1897 because it faster than just pump reloading, its stupid.

      I know, the last update introduced all DLC items and changed several things. I am working on extracting the new files and then I will make a brand new rebalanced mod.

    Great mod! Any idea why my Lemi is still showing the base 130 dmg with compensator on? I do see the Samurai Edge being 250 dmg though ..

      Back when I made this mod, I wanted to mod the game without changing too much the early game experience, so for the most part I tried to edit only the last weapon's upgrades. For Lemi I only changed the last one, so it's power is: lv1 100 lv2 110 lv3 130 lv4 340. The compensator hasn't changed and so it gives only +30 power. 
      At the end of the day this method didn't work as I expected, so I am going to make something completely different next time.

      Okay great that makes sense! I'm still not too far in, so I will work on pumping money into the upgrades then. I thought I messed up something myself lol, so thanks for the explanation!

    Thank you for the mods, i like the idea! Since you've made few weapon rebalance mods, i wanted to suggest you making a full game rebalance mod. The idea is simple: to increase every weapon damage x2 time and at the same time increase enemies attacks damage to the very same x2 (or lower players health two times, whatever is best way to go). Maybe you can make few options like x1.5/x2/x3/x4 etc. so people can make their choice. The idea of this kind of mod will be increasing the intense of fights: the more damage the bigger price of a mistake. Though i am not sure about the ammo where or not the amount of picked up cartridges should be decreased (or weapon magazines should be smaller), i think it should be kept as it is.       Those are some good ideas. I am planning to get back to modding when the dlc comes out, I am definitely doing something like this!

      Honestly just a scarcer resources mod would be cool, maybe have a few different options that're balanced for different difficulties.
