REupscale project is a mod that upscales and corrects the background textures of Resident Evil HD Remaster using Topaz’s A.I. Gigapixel, ESRGAN and manual tweaks.

REupscale project v1.5a (May 7, 2020)
This updates includes improved background textures (~600) by using ESRGAN and A.I. Gigapixel, and fixes on some of Capcom's new backgrounds.

Here are a few textures, comparing the HD Remaster, v1.0 and v1.5.

REupscale project v1.0 (January 31, 2019)

The mod contains more than 1600 replaced textures, between gameplay and cutscenes, that have been upscaled with A.I. Gigapixel and manually tweaked with a graphics tablet. The v1.0 release covers the whole game but it doesn't replace the textures of the rooms that Capcom redid as 3D rendered rooms.

Copy the folder "nativePC" to "X:\Steam\steamapps\common\Resident Evil Biohazard HD REMASTER".

The password for the files is: REupscaleproject (enter the pasword manually, do not copy-paste it). [Not needed for v1.5a standalone or the update files]
