Have no issues with this, now it constantly crashes. Only using the listed shaders in description. Remaining the d3d9.dll to dxgi.dll breaks ReShade entirely (doesn't even load). Shame.
I'm having some problems running your preset on Windows 10. The game do not crash and seems to run normally, but it looks very different from the screenshots you've posted. The only doubt i had was when installing ReShade, i've selected "Apply only to selected game" and downloaded all the effect packs avaiable, not only the default that was already selected. Can you help me? Never used ReShade before, but followed your instructions strictly.
Hi, it was a hit and miss for me. As soon as I ALt+tab into a different window, the game crashes. After trouble shooting, I found the issue with the reshade's d3d9.dll. If I keep on playing this game without moving to another window, then reshade (with your preset) works fine. So, for me the problem lies with reshade and not with your preset. Anyway, thanks for your efforts.
If you want your graphics more s#*!, red, dark, blurry, and pink with bad cutscene graphics. This is for you! BAD SHADER! I had to disable lots of effects, then tweak a few ones myself, and it got much better, but still a little too pink.
Yes my preset adds a bit more red tint, and darkness both of which were intended, it shouldn't be blurry and pink or create "bad cutscene graphics". My images are fully representative of the effects of my preset, some of which were taken during cutscenes. Furthermore, this preset only utilizes 6 shaders, if you had to disable "lots" of effects you probably installed it wrong.
unconstructive criticism comments like this should be ignored. Instead of raging, suggest how it could be improved. Don't be surprised if you'll get ignored by a lot of people if you behave like that.
For some reason after I open up Reshade and go to bhd.exe and download all the effects it successfully downloads. I open game and I hit "HOME" then go to "DefaultPreset" tab and I click on Reshade.ini but it won't choose it, doesn't do anything and I assume that is the one in the RE folder that has your preset and I see. Not sure what I'm doing wrong but it could be something so simple and small. The Reshader is working fine in-game, just not sure why I can't click on your preset in "DefaultPreset" tab. Do you have any idea what could be the problem? My folder looks like this from top to bottom. nativePC, reshade-shaders, bhd, d3d9.dll, d3d9, ReShade, steam_api.dll. Maybe it's actually working and I don't notice it. I'm waiting to finish redownloading the REupscale mod so maybe I'll be able to tell with that.
I'm not sure I understand, are you trying to load the ReShade.ini file? That is a settings file used by ReShade itself, my preset is called "Led_ReShade_REHD.ini" if you left it inside the Preset folder you will have to navigate to it by pressing the 2 periods at the top of the list after clicking on the DefaultPreset dropdown. Alternatively you could just place the preset into the same directory as the .dll files, it should then appear in the list.
Also a good way to test if a preset is working is to find an area with sufficient light and then disable/enable ReShade a few times watching for changes in colors and shadows. I think "Scroll Lock" is the default keyboard key to do that.
I'm still trying to figure it out. But I do not see the Led_ReShade_REHD.ini file in my main directory. I had a hard time understanding in the instructions when you mentioned "drop" into your RE game file directory. I probably skipped a step without realizing it or this s*** just isn't my thing haha. RE1 is too good to not experience it at it's full potential as a REMASTER. I must achieve this! lol
Edit: I clicked the 2 dots but it literally just takes me into my steam library with my steam games. I can go as far back as the main folders in my drive if i keep clicking the 2 dots... It's just a "go back" button I understand but I don't get why I don't have your .ini file.
OMG, I apologize. I literally could not find the Led_Reshade because I didn't even freaking download it. Just the ReShader program. omg hahahahahaha. Well thanks for the image upload, however now that I have the preset downloaded it should be easy peezy. See, I did mention it was something small I was missing. smh
I'll try, but it would help to know which part your having trouble with. The installation of ReShade itself is pretty straightforward just follow the prompts, the executable file is called bhd.exe and is located in the games root folder, mine for example is found here "C:\Games\Steam\steamapps\common\Resident Evil Biohazard HD REMASTER" be sure to select direct3d 9 in the installer.
Or did you mean getting the preset to work? If so, do the following; after ReShade is installed, drop my preset into the games root folder, then launch the game, you will see a message in the upper left of the screen indicating that it works, now press the HOME key on your keyboard a new window will popup, click on the Home tab, below those tabs is a field that should say DefaultPreset click inside that field and a list should dropdown my preset should be there click on it and your set.
If your encountering crashes there are 3 possibilities or any combination of the 3. 1. You installed a shader that isn't compatible with DX9, in that case delete any that are not listed in my description page. 2. You may need to install older DX runtimes. here https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=8109 3. You may need to rename the .dll that ReShade installed from d3d9.dll to dxgi.dll
Hopefully this information is understandable. This post turned out way larger than I thought it would, I realize now that these are details I should have added to description initially.
EDIT: all these details are now in the description page.
Thank you for the help! I already installed your ReShade pack and it works perfect, I didn't find my game crashing and I have all the shaders active, I have win10 but I don't know, the game's working perfectly right now, so again, thank you for posting this, it generates a new experience and a new atmosphere, I will enjoy more my playthrough. :D
