I bought the Gamecube because of this game and then played it when it was remastered recently. I remember playing it and thinking the backgrounds really sucked (didn't they even think about that?). I did download Shiryu's mod but that feeling didn't go away (I couldn't even tell the difference). This mod fixed that. Thank you!

Just finished a play through with Jill using this mod. Fantastic work! It’s amazing how nice the game looks now; I can’t think of anything from 2002 that looks close to this lol. I tried to visit just about every room and I had zero issues. Thanks so much for making this! The definitive way to play this classic now IMO.
A torrent download option would be awesome... Mega kills it about halfway through if you don't have an account. And Nexus is so slow, I'll be long dead before it ever finishes.
Come on, i downloaded it on Nexus with my normal connection (around 1 MB/second), it has been necessary some hours but at the end the file has been entirely downloaded to first try without any issue.
This mod really doesn't make much difference in the quality of the game especially if you're using RESHADE which I use to make the game better looking but that's just me
Friend, if all examples which Arcturium has posted here don't convince you yet, i can confirm you which there is no comparison, indeed in last days i taken several screenshots using Reupscale mod and i taken the same ones using Rescale mod, then i did the head to head comparisons with an image viewer (even using zoom), in all cases Rescale mod wins ! Even i use Reshade to improve game's quality (and is possible improve really much !) but this is an addition thing, here we are talking about mod quality without use other things and in my modest opinion Rescale mod is a large improvement for this game. (^_^)
Yes, some of the textures have been rescaled like those ones of all enemies, 3d doors and some objects, i believe even textures used by 3d rooms (there are a few in the game), i must check this yet.
