would also like to know EDIT : upon experimenting with Ethan Blue Umbrella placehorder i can say that renaming pl0002 to something else removes the helmet however in the process it also makes your boots clip ( the head is connected to the boots thus when you *remove it* both ethans and the uniform boots spawn ) Hope this helps though a proper First person placeholder without the boots clipping would be appreciated ( if possible )
Mentioned it in the first post but XX02 files are a player character's lower body. Deleting the pl0002 mesh (which is a replacement head in the placeholder) means the game loads the original file instead. That's why both the uniform and Ethan's original model spawn in.
Take one of the 1kb blank meshes (that are used to prevent Ethan's hand stuff from clipping with the uniform) inside pl0000 rename it and replace pl0002.mesh.32. Then the game will load a blank for the head instead of the original lower body.
Huh It actually worked In simple terms for anyone else just take the very first file inside the pl0000 folder make a copy of it drag it out plop it on your desktop and rename it pl0002.mesh.32 and then go inside of the pl0002 folder and paste it in there and boom heads gone.
Hello! Playing Re 7 in third person is an amazing experience. I've just got to Mias part (wrecked ship) and I realized she's also missing head (pretty much like every playable character). Is there any chance we get Mia head model? Doing this part with character model which is lacking a head is... Kind of disturbing, heh.
Using the Zoe as Mia placeholder (and turning off "Auto-Disable if not Ethan" in the script) is the best option that is available right now that I know of if you want to play the ship part in third.
Think the biggest issue with Mia is that her hair needs physics otherwise it just looks like a hat made out of hair. Other characters have short hair so its not really an issue with them. It's just something someone whose experienced with RE engine modeling would have to work out.
Copying the blue umbrella files to Mia's folder 1:1 badly glitches out the camera during any VHS sections, meaning it can only really be used on the wrecked ship part and not during the flashback. It would need to be edited to an armless model to work everywhere which I don't know how to do.
If you still want to use it for that one section, in the Mia placeholder .rar, rename and replace the 4 files inside pl2101 & pl2102 with the blue umbrella ones from pl0001 & pl0002. Delete the main pl2000 folder so that flashback Mia isn't affected. Don't use Mia's VHS tape or you'll be stuck until the mod is uninstalled.
To make the watch invisible so it doesn't clip with the gloves rename and replace all 4 mesh.32 files in pl2100/pl2100 with 1kb blank meshes from the blue umbrellas' pl1000/pl1000.
