1. DESCRIPTION

This mod is a text replacement of every instance of weapons name in the game: in-game inventory, dog tags, titles description and records screen.
Also works for the screen that pops when you pick up a weapon. Some loading screens hints are also affected.

Other players dog-tags will be modified too when displayed on your side but not on theirs unless they also have this mod installed.
This mod doesn't replace any models. Also removes the "input device has changed" message or whatever.

I tried to find the closest real life match of every weapons and while some are pretty obvious like the RPG-7, others are mix and match models like the 909 for instance. Some completely fictional weapons like the Hydra were left untouched.
The RE6 IMDb page was used extensively as well as personal research, personal preferences and other people suggestions/corrections.

Nine-Oh-Nine 909 (Taurus PT-909 Custom)
From what I gathered, the 909 is a mix between a Taurus PT 909, a Browning HP 35 and a M1911. I guess they liked the name, so I decided to keep it somewhat.

Picador (Steyr M9-A1)
Looks like a mix between a Steyr M9-A1 and a H&K P8 (Got an official licensed replica of the P8 and indeed, it's pretty close). Since the rear, which is the part you'll see the most, is typical of the Steyr M9-A1, I named it accordingly.

Wing Shooter (H&K VP70)
An obvious one, although the one(s) Leon uses is a bit longer than the real version apparently. First appearance in BH2.

Shotgun (Ithaca M37)
Again, an obvious one. Looks a lot like the M37 that's in BH5, with a bit more accessories. Pretty sure for this one.

Assault shotgun (FN Tactical Police Shotgun)
A more tricky one. Originally I thought that it could be a mix between a R870 Express Tactical and a Benelli M1014, which was in BH1 Remake, but the FN TPS looks just right to me.

Lightning hawk (Desert Eagle Mk. XIX)
Technically the Lightning Hawk isn't a Desert Eagle but is VERY inspired by it, especially the MK. XIX model.

Elephant Killer (S&W 500 "Elephant Killer")
Although it's depicted as being a hinge-opening revolver, as opposed to have a swing out cylinder as it does in real life, it's basically the real deal here, except the engraving of course. I kept the name "Elephant Killer" because of what BH4's merchant was saying when you bought the S&W 500 :P

Sniper Rifle (AWP L96)
After hesitating between the AWP L96 and the SIG SSG 3000, I decided to settle with the AWP L96 name because the stock looks closer to it than anything I envisaged. Quite a personal preference here though.

Semi-Auto Sniper Rifle (Mk. 14 Mod 0)
This was one of the trickiest ones. It's a mix of both the Remington MSR and the Mk. 14 Mod 0. The latter looks closer to me though.

Anti-Materiel Rifle (Mechem NTW-20)
A frankenstein gun again. Also has elements from a Barrett Model 98 Bravo .50BMG

Ammo Box 50 (Ruger MP9 Custom)
Another tricky one. Could be a MAC-10, a custom MP9 or a lot of variants of those. I've chosen the Ruger MP9 because minus the stock, it's really close.

Triple Shot (SIG P220 "Triple Shot")
The game model is actually a modified version of a SIG-Sauer 220 Sport that includes some parts of a M93R.

MP-AF (H&K UMP9)
Has a bunch of accessories added to it but otherwise it's a H&K UMP9. Thanks Capcom for making my job easier on this :D

Assault Rifle for Special Tactics (ACR "BSAA Standard Issue")
This one was very tricky too. It's basically a Bushmaster ACR with some parts taken from a G36. Since every BSAA members are equipped with it, I thought the name Standard Issue would be appropriate. It seems that it has replaced the SIG-556 which was the standard issue in BH5.

Bear Commander (SA58 "Bear Commander")
This one left me puzzled, it's a "Frankenstein" gun again. It looks like a DSA SA58 Para (which is itself a modified FN FAL) with a modified M203 grenade launcher attached. I kept the Bear Commander name as it sounds like a nickname that could have been given to this custom SA58 in the game's universe.

Assault Rifle RN (AEK-971)
A pretty easy one. Could be another AK variant or copy though, there's a lot of 'em.

Grenade Launcher (ARWEN 37)
Again, this one is pretty obvious. It has elements from a Milkor MGL too, but looks closer to the ARWEN to me.

Rocket Launcher (RPG-7)
Do I need to say that this one is really obvious?

2. INSTALLATION

- With a Mod Manager:
I strongly recommend using Fluffy Mod Manager 5000. Instructions are included in the archive and are very simple to follow. It's a mod manager for all Resident Evil games.

- Manually:
  • BACKUP YOUR ORIGINAL FILES!
  • Unzip the archive and copy the "NativePC" folder to your game root folder (Usually ...steamapps\common\Resident Evil 6), when asked to overwrite click yes.
