If I can find the time to do so in the future, then I'll definitely try giving other replacements such as the gas mask and sunglasses a try. When I was creating this mod, I accidentally replaced the cat ears with the gas mask instead lol, so it's definitely possible.
We will be eternally grateful should you do pull this off in the future! :) I mean hey if you did it by accident one time..... do it again! Heck for the sports sunglasses as well be awesome but hey whatever time you have and can. Still top work with this one my manz!
I know this is an old post but a workaround for getting the Gas Mask over the Cat Ears can be done through the Ultimate Trainer here on Nexus. All you do is equip the Cat Ears then use the trainer and under the Player Accessories tab; toggle it on and find the Gas Mask in the list of options and select it and voila. You'll have the Cat Ears effect with the Gas Mask model.
If you want it to be toggled on whenever you launch the game, just select Save Settings at the top and that should be it.
It was definitely a surprise for me when I discovered the neck guard, after creating this mod. I didn't expect it to show up, nor do I know why the mask doesn't normally look like this in-game.
After testing it out, I noticed the neck guard clipped with Leon's neck in certain cutscenes, so my theory is that maybe the devs removed the neck guard before the game came out due to clipping issues. I don't know how I reactivated it all of a sudden though, lmao, happy accident I guess.

May you create some other, which replace cat ears too, please? Like sunglasses or sometthing from other games that look cool too would be nice.
