Anyone that has issues with the mod not working once installed or after the game receives an update. A common fix is to uninstall all mods and re-read game archives within the fluffy mod manager.
Just uploaded a Floating Pistol Fix Bundle under Miscellaneous files. This should only be necessary on helmeted versions of the mod (haven't fully tested helmetless). Use this file if you plan on using any mods that change HUNK's model such as Hunk - Grim Reaper or 2005 RE4 HUNK (not sure if this one has an issue).
Download the bundle, open the RAR file and extract the file(s) you need based on the version of the mod you use into the mods folder. Be sure to install this fix LAST.
EDIT: Added HUNK Mod Lightweight under Optional Files that changes HUNK's model directly. This can be installed along with any version of the mod you want if you're interested in having the bags removed.
EDIT 2: Added HUNK Sounds under Optional Files.
EDIT 3: Added USS Additional Characters under Optional Files.
One limitation with this mod is that the Pinstripe, Hero & Casual costumes all share Leon's default head and therefore I couldn't change one without altering the others.
If you want the most flexibility I recommend using the Villain or Romantic costumes because they both have unique head meshes and can be used with other costumes without conflict (I think).
Suprise suprise Nexus commenters aren't to be trusted, this mod works perfectly fine in 2025 despite not having received an update since 2023. Guys fluffy mod manager is like the smoothest modding experience I have ever had modding a game, it really shouldn't be that hard. Only downside is this mod doesn't have proper weapon position on the back like "Hunk's USS Kit", it clips, Hunks USS Kit however doesn't have a way to get the lightweight look though and I really don't like the huge pouches that are on an unsupported battle belt.
i really like your hunk mod really but idk how i get the sounds from hunk or is it automaticly installed when i installed the mod? i have all dlc for this game and addet seperate ways yesterday for the berserker mod and try to make a hunk challange it will be cool to sound like him while i do this thanks for help when i got help ^^ <3
I've asked around all mods regarding this issue so I'm asking here as well in case I get a reply. When using this mod alongside visible weapons on the back it clips through the back plate thingy. There is a mod that deletes that back thing completely fixing this issue, but I want it there. There is another mod that makes the weapon sit correctly on the thing as the moder changed the skeleton of Leon to make it work, but this mod doesn't load and gets stuck permanently on load screens and furthermore it doesn't replace Leon with Hunk but rather puts Hunk parts on Leon. The issue with that is that Leon doesn't wear a balaclava underneath the gasmask making his hair visible in the back which is annoying. Further more since it doesn't replace Leon with Hunk it doesn't work with my other mod that makes Hunks bags black since that replaces the colours on the Hunk model which in turn gets placed on Leon by your mod making them work together.
SO after that book we get to my issue and or request of sorts. Is there ANY chance that you could make a version of your mod where literally the ONLY difference is that you change the skeleton of Hunk so that the visible weapons on the back mod shows up normally and don't clip through the back bag on the Casual outfit option of your mod?
Additionally it would be awesome if you could replace Hunks holster with Leon's so as to make it show Leon's pistols and give Hunk a functional knife chief so as to show up properly in cutscenes, but these are just bonuses that I'd appreciate but don't need, I only care about the back thing because you see it all the time during gameplay and it drives me nuts! :(
I was hoping to be able to, but melee swapping in general is very complex due to how the files are setup. The animations/scripting associated with them that are in the mercenaries files don't exist within the files used for story mode so there is no way to directly swap them in. They essentially have to be reverse engineered completely in order to work at all it seems, especially 100% (via hex edits or completely recreating the files). I try to watch the modding discord regularly to see if any other modders have been able to figure it out. I think it's gonna be awhile before we see any real melee swap mods if ever.
