I'm trying out the new update for this mod now with your holster mod + realistic rate of fire mod by ErwinGunSmith :D Surprisingly all I had to do was delete a file from your holster mod so that it's compatible with the realistic rate of fire mod. I'm still playing Main Campaign (Berserk) with Trainer Ada :D
Reached Chapter 2 so far on the Leon Must Die difficulty/Pro of Berserk with no issues. For your info, HotAda, the conflict of the realistic fire rate mod and your holster mod is specifically ONLY for the SG-09. It's the only handgun that didn't have the 'realistic fire rate' that ErwinGunSmith's mod had. The only similar file I saw that could cause conflicts was the animation file where Ada pulls the gun out from her holster on her left. Thankfully the gun is still holstered there, but she holsters from the hip, instead of her chest rig XD
Although not a priority, just thought I would let you know ^^ If you want me to be more specific about the files I had to adjust, just send me a DM :D
Honestly your two mods (Holster + Merchant) and Realistic Fire Rate mods are mods I cannot play without XD your mods and the fire rate mod is just soooooo good XD

The weapons non-native to Leon do not seem to work. They simply retain the model of the most recently equipped weapon, while firing like them but using handgun ammo. I've tested this with the silver edge, compound bow, and xbow. I have also disabled all other mods, but it still occurs. I do not know what I am missing since this page does not list additionally needed items.
Hello Leviathan120! Here are a few solutions for you to try: 1. The Docs will let you know what you need for my mod to work; 2. Check REFramework plugins and its folder for errors or incompatible settings; 3. Verify integrity of files via Steam; your game might be missing a few files. Let me know if we got it to work!!
Sad to say, I am actually quite new to modding RE4 in general - so there are a lot of subtleties lost on me that are probably obvious to most others. I do have the trainer and framework installed, and fluffy is updated to its most current version (that I know of). All files also successfully validated without issue.
As for finding the REFranework plugins folder, I don't quite know where to check for that. The whole mod is simply a zip file in the RE4 mods folder. Side note - I did also check if admin mode was an issue or not for windows shenanigans, but it didn't make a difference.
Yeah modding RE isnât the easiest lol. RE games lack native modding tools by the developer, like FO4 or Skyrim. If it isnât local files that are causing you the issues, it may be something in REFramework? Your REFramework folder is located in your Steam RE4R folder, so give it a look! I also donât mess with admin mode for Fluffy. Iâve not been able to really see a particular use with it - for me at least lol. Keep me posted!!
Itâs worth a try deleting it, so you can reinstall it fresh and clean afterwards? Alternatively, I think thereâs a setting somewhere in AWF that can change the ammo type of SMG weapons to use handgun ammo? Iâm also not completely sure. Feel free to try many things, but my mod works, I promise.
I have a bit more information now that you might find useful. If I buy any of the items that will not equip, the next time I enter the merchant the background will be black. Moving forward through the level after that, I notice that the game has stopped loading proceeding areas - can even walk off the map and fall outside the level. It also doesn't seem to matter whether there is a model or not to work with (there is a PL model, but no silver edge model in the merchant when buying, both yield the same bug).
đ€. Maybe uninstall my mod and check to see if you have Valkyrie/Berserker uninstalled? These are located in your mod folder too, something like pak file 004, or something? There should only be paks 000 - 003; these are Capcomâs.
I am hoping you donât have to delete your entire RE4R folder and reinstall everything, but seeing how you donât have any other mods installed you should be fine to do so if you choose?
(If you do, be sure to back up anything you want to keep in a separate folder, like custom ReShades, first!)
I don't have any other mods installed, so I don't believe there is any conflicts taking place. The game was also a fresh install before putting in your mod....
I am just thinking about this now, but does this require SW to be installed? I don't currently have it installed in order to save space on my drive since I wasn't ever going to play it again.
My mod probably has a lot of files that relies on SW, so that may be why you're experiencing all the issues and missing data? Can you give it a try and re-install SW?
Yeah so it's working now - although I did only test the silver edge, but I'll assume the others are fine as well. It only just hit me that SW might be needed as I was thinking about the sawed off.
I would like to ask as an aside what the exclusive for the silver edge does though. What exactly is increased weak spot destruction? I assume it is something different to the 5x crit rate since it was given a different description.
The exclusive increases the rate at which anything âbreaksâ! That includes limbs and exposing Armadurasâ plagas. XD I think it also works on shields, regenerators, Saddlerâs eyes, too?
So I saw the silver ghost does much more stagger, but the silver edge is the handgun modeled after a beretta m9 - that one specifically says greater weak spot destruction. After playing with it for a bit, I've found that it actually dismembers arms and legs with one shot almost every time. The only times it doesn't is when an enemy is performing a scripted action (like climbing), it's a plagas, or the life pool is great enough to require two shots. It's actually quite broken lol - you might consider rebalancing it.
I also found that this does not apply to headshots - it's exclusively to limbs for some reason. I've just been going for the legs like a classic RE4 experience, but it's auto-killing due to enemies losing a leg.
Lol yeah you're right about it being buggy and overpowered XD The Minecart Handgun now has that exclusive XD I've rebalanced the XM's exclusive in 1.19, so feel free to give it a try!
I made it so it staggers more and breaks limbs less often, because yes the previous was a bit too much, at least for standard play. XD Do you use the Trainer?? You can use it to go from one version to the next without hassle (ask if you need help)!

Noticed how much efficient Sawed-off W-870 is? Especially in terms of ammo required to kill Verdugo? Maybe it's indeed that much more efficient or I suspect there is something else like maybe the way Verdugo's damage multiplier is tuned didn't include SW weapons or something. This is unconfirmed but I think unfrozen Verdugo has reduced damage multiplier for every weapon in MS and in frozen, damage multiplier is boost back to normal or more. And it's possible that unfrozen Verdugo did not reduce damage multiplier to SW weapons and when frozen, the damage multiplier is boost even higher.
Hope that make sense. I do want to believe Sawed-off W-870 is that good, don't get me wrong.
I did some testing using the Trainer's 'damage numbers' feature on frozen and unthawed Verdugo. Everything worked, and it turns out the Sawed-off does more damage than the Riot Gun! XD
Under the context of Berserker + Ada Trainer Swap in MS:
I've experienced a few crashes in the village here and there, but most noticeably is in Chapter 5, after getting Ashley, and leaving the Church Gate, just after killing the molotov ganado, upon apporaching the arch leading to the merchant, the game crashes.
Edit : It seems to be related to the merchant. When I saved then loaded with the mod on, everything was fine until I spoke with the merchant. Immediately crashed before the shop menu could even show up XD

You might have to try again at the next Merchant, just to confirm it doesn't keep crashing in perpetuity XD
Another idea, maybe the Merchant is having a difficult time respawning/despawning, and it crashes the game if you get too close or too far? I do have a few files concerning the Merchant.

As for the merchant Chapter 5, I tried not killing molly ganado before him, and I still crash just standing next to him, and if I have the mod on before I even get to molly ganado, I crash, and that's after I cleared all enemies in the area. I am honestly not sure. I'm going to try going to pre-Luis Defense segment Merchant to see if it is just that specific merchant.
Sounds good! It might get better outside of the whole village segment? Newer enemy types, who knows!

Can confirm it. Upon triggering the cutscene of crossing the bridge, the game crashed. I think I'll wait for your next hotfix before I continue troubleshooting XD
One other minor issue I saw, other than the tactical knife, Ada in MS no longer holds the kitchen knife and boot knife the way she does in SW and her default knives. Might want to look into that too XD
A little data gathering I'd share with you, HotAda, in regards to Trainer-Ada compatibility with Berserker that maaay be fixed with this mod.
Two guns have 'interesting' bugs : Leon's SRM1903 (bolt-action rifle) and the Striker shotgun: *Context, I am playing through Berserker Mod + Trainer Ada without this mod XD
1. Berserker mod I am aware did change the rate of fire upgrade with a critical hit rate upgrade, this doesn't apply to Trainer-Ada, and the Rate-of-fire upgrade is still there. Trying to upgrade that stat resets all stat upgrades to level 1, and prevents them from being upgraded until you sell -> buyback. SRM1903 then can be upgraded without touching fire rate + weapon ticket. Using Ada's version of this rifle is bugged with Trainer Ada + Berserker. I am stuck in ADS mode after one shot - it seems to be tied to the fire rate being upgradeable, but of course since it's Ada's version of the SRM1903, Berserker's Crit Rate upgrade seems to be conflicting with Ada's SRM1903
2. Nothing is upgradeable with the striker shot gun XD. Trying to upgrade it will eventually cause the game to crash. Using this mod fixes the upgrade bug, but as expected Berserker is not 100% compatible with this mod (yet) so there are crashes in some areas.
I have completed main story run with Ada's weapons and I have some questions. Did you change anything for the loot drop? Before Island, I keep crafting Blast Arrows cause I plan to use Blast Crossbow more on Island later. When I reached Island and bought the biggest case upgrade, that's when I bring out Blast Crossbow. By then, I have around 20 arrows. But the weird thing is, I still getting random Blast Arrows from loots. So I have around 30 arrows when I reached Krauser and he is absolutely bullied by it. Anyway, is that normal? Cause I expect not getting, at least not a lot of randomly dropped Blast Arrows when I have 20 arrows which I think is a lot.
I thought about trying Leon's weapons in SW but then the weapon costs and Ada's smaller case size could be an issue. So I'll be playing other mods for now. I'll probably come back to this mod again in the future after several patches. Good luck working on it!
SR M1903 ST is bugged. I can only reload up to 9 ammo even though I have upgraded to 13 ammo capacity. I suspect the other stats are following the regular version as well despite the menu is showing different stats.
ST's power is bugged. Regular version with 4.6 power can stagger El Gigante with one shot to its plaga. ST version with 5.3 power need 3 shots to stagger.

I don't see an generated logs in any of the 3 folders.
The mod is running, because everything is in the shop. Leon just will not properly equip any of the items he shouldn't normally have.

Have you tried the fighter knife against a chainsaw? It looks so silly lol.
