Beside subjective of personal taste/preference, I knew that so many type and models of Monitors/TVs out there. LCD/LED/OLED/QLED ; IPS/TN/VA... etc. And they have their own characteristic (from neutral colors to vibrant colors, high to low gamma/black levels/white point, etc).
Therefore I made a simple adjustment UI for this mod. You can adjust Dark Level, Light Intensity, Color Saturation, Sharpness, etc.by press END keyboard button to show-up Reshade UI. Just adjust the value to matching with your current screen (Monitor/TV) profile or fit with your taste/liking.
Turn down Light Intensity (to zero or less) and Increase the Dark Level value higher; if its may too bright in your screen. Turn-down Color Saturation value if you feels the color is too strong for you, or increase it if you think the color is too weak.... and so on. ;)
Keep in mind this is a custom shader, not just a regular Reshade preset. With this custom shader You can create your own various presets based on this custom shader (by press "+" (plus symbol) button on the top right corner from UI).
Tips: - For HDR mode : if you facing blank screen then try to run it in Windowed mode or Borderless mode. - For HDR mode you may push "Dark Level" to somewhere between +0.150 to +0.250 (or even more ~ depends your liking) - For HDR mode: please disable Windows 10/11 "Auto-HDR" thing; just let it run in native HDR mode ;) - For HDR mode: if you feel the color is too strong, then you may turn-down "Color Saturation" value to zero or even minus.
Update 1.01 (01/11/2023) : - I have uploaded version 1.01 as optional version (this is NOT a replacement for version 1.0 actually***), you may download it from "Optional Files" section from this mod page. In this version now it supported 3D Stereoscopic and small fixes to eliminated too much blue tint (blueish light effect) in some native HDR screen (e.g some LG TV with HDR mode).
*** If you have standard screen (SDR) and not running the game in native HDR mode, then please stick with the older version v1.0(as it specially made for SDR screen mode)
How to install it: - just extract / drag n drop into the proper folder as mention in front of this page; and overwrite my previous files.
Here the quick video preview in HDR mode (please use internet browser that supported YouTube HDR videos to see the actual result):
this is NOT a preset ;) So all you have to do is just extract or drag n drop all my files into the proper folder as mention on the description. So you will only have 1 shader file effect named RE4R23.fx
Very simple yet very nice reshade mod you posted here Chris, thank you! glad i didnt have to download and install reshade seperately like all those other mods out there and this doesnt even hurt the performance at all! thanks again
Outstanding shader with easy options, I got exactly the improvement I was looking for thanks to this reshade in just a few tweaks, compared to YPR which took a lot of tooling around and I still wasn't very satisfied. Good work!
