Hello, I'm currently working on creating texture mods, but I've been facing difficulties when trying to save .DDS files in a format that the game recognizes without generating distorted textures with random colors over the edits I made. Every time I compress the mod, the texture becomes completely disfigured with unexpected colors.
Could you guide me on the correct DDS format to ensure the game recognizes the texture without visual glitches? Do you recommend saving it in Photoshop or Paint.Net? In Paint.Net, there are various DDS formats available, and in Photoshop, there are options as well. I'm a bit lost on how to save it correctly to avoid these texture issues.
I would greatly appreciate it if you could assist me.
Questions: 1. Would you please update it for Leon's campaign, Mercenaries and Separate Ways? 2. For Leon's main, add UI pics on costume options. 3. Add blue and white variant
Hi, I have a problem with your mod, as much as I use the two main files the black lines are still behind the jacket and even if I use another mod the black lines are still there, any idea what could be happening, or how I can i solve this problem?
It's because the texture you are trying to use with the mod has the black lines on it. Try using some of my example textures with the mod and you will see that the lines are gone.
Hello again, actually I would like to use the original texture, I downloaded the other files that you made available and only the mod with the jacket with the number 4 worked, the other files that are textures for some reason do not work, for the files of does the texture have to do something else besides putting them in fluffy and activating it?
There's a bit of an issue I noticed with this mod and any mod that uses such a fix for the jacket. The default Capcom jacket doesn't move while Leon walks for example, only a subtle sway where the zipper is. When using your mod, the jacket now becomes essentially fused to Leon's hips and it moves with him while he walks. This also introduces clipping with the default shirt and any shirt mods/recolors.
That is because the jacket by default uses this special cloth simulation and if you want to mod the jacket you have to disable it otherwise it would break.
First off, I see the comments on here and you’re super helpful to your commenters. I think that’s incredible, and I appreciate you for it. I did have a question, if you were able to help me out in answering it. There was a mod on here (it’s now deleted) that used the original texture (or potentially the HD Project’s texture) of the coat from the OG RE4. It looked great, but the seams of the new jacket obviously didn’t align with the old texture design. Your mod would be the perfect solution, since it unifies the back of the jacket. Do you think with your mod I could use that texture of the original jacket? I tried just installing both, but I got that + looking separation another user posted an image of. Thank you for your time.
