You have to enable 'Copy depth buffer before clear operations' (Add-ons tab), and disable ingame anti-aliasing for this to work. Also make sure RESHADE_DEPTH_INPUT_IS_REVERSED in Global Preprocessor Definitions is set to 0.
PPFX SSDO creates a lot of nonsensical shadow lines in RE4. GloomAO looks much nicer.
That said, I can't stand the edge shimmer caused by the lack of anti-aliasing, and post-processing SMAA doesn't seem adequate to the job to fix it.
IMO, no, not worth it. The AO looks nice in screenshots, but you don't really notice it in-game unless you're looking for it. You definitely do notice the edge shimmer.
Have you installed pretty much all shaders just to apply 1 shader? When saving the shader it is possible to save only that shader in particular, you don't need to make available the download of all the files, I suggest you look for a brief tutorial on Youtube, if you want to bring more reshades.
bro I press the "home" button and no menu to configure appears, as you said in the description I put the reshade-shaders folder in the bin32/bio4.exe folder and that's it, and nothing appears when I press home, it should be emphasized I have the HD Project mod, the only thing I didn't do was configure the folder as dx9, since I don't understand what you mean, sorry for my ignorance, I used the reshade-shaders folder as it came by default
