you don't need to install any patch or use Ultimate Trainer or disable steam cloud

you will be prompted to upload 2 save files
the first file is the save file of YOURS go to <Steam-folder>\userdata\<user-id>\254700\remote\ and grab it
the second file is the save file you would like to use it still works for me as of now
i downloaded someone else save file from here but they delete it and i couldn't find any save file anywhere thanks to you , i can experience before RE4 remake
@Nxtvloidd, it took me a couple of tries, but essentially when you open up https://nathanjrollins.github.io/re4-save-reattribution-utility/, you'll first be prompted to upload the save file that's already in your Steam system folder.
It can be an empty one that the game created by default when you first opened it up, or it can be one that you've made progress in already before. The data will be located here, typically:
Once you upload that file, the prompt will change asking for the save file that you'd like to use - in this case, the one you're downloading from this mod page. For me, I found the save data I want to use here:
Once you upload this save data, you'll be prompted to download the save data that the RE4 game should now be able to read so take it, and move it here:
You'll be prompted to replace your existing save data, so unless you want to preserve what you had originally (in which case, you should back it up to another location), go on ahead and replace the save data.
That should be it! It took me a couple of tries myself, truth be told. Hope this helps!
Hey there, i barely sit here, but, recently i wanted to play again this cool game i tried so hard to finish on PS2, but now on PC, it's way too cool to play again with the Handcannon ;)
If you follow the steps, it works perfectly, i made a back up of my save just in case, but you're able to sync with cloud then, and it works perfectly. Thanks to the author ! :)
