I put the DATA_A folder into the root folder of my RE3 SourceNext/Classic REbirth & it doesn't show in game; just shows the original PC textures. Any help would be appreciated.
Hmm. I just double checked, and this still works with the most recent version of the Classic REbirth DLL, so that shouldn't be the issue.
Just to be sure, make certain that you have the most recent version of the Classic REbirth dll. Verify that the DATA_A folder is in the same directory as "BIOHAZARD(R) 3 PC.exe" and Classic REbirth's "ddraw.dll" Check that the DATA_A/BSS folder contains 1528 jpg files. If all are true, please try deleting or renaming the current DATA_A/BSS folder and reinstalling the mod.
As i mentioned in the description, on the PC version, the mask textured portions of the backgrounds will be 240p regardless, so the final image will be maximally consistent and cohesive if *everything* is 240p, including 3D models (which should ideally be supersampled to better match the quality of the backgrounds, of course.)
There are mods for the GameCube version that recreate the mask textures in higher resolution using AI upscaled versions of the 480p PC/GC backgrounds. If you want to run the game at 480p or higher, you should really go with that version of the game instead.
