About this mod
A ReShade Preset which aims to enhance image quality with subtle effects while not overdoing anything.
- Permissions and credits
This Preset makes use of:
Depth based levels & brightness to make for example the sky actually look like its at night while not affecting your near surroundings.
Some light color & luminance correction
Ray Traced Global Illumination, which will tank your fps for some nice Ambient Occlusion and Lighting. Best visible on Jill.
RTGI not free at the moment as it is still in development by Marty McFly! See below on how to aquire it. Not really needed for it to look better, but I thought I'd add it. c:
If you for some reason dislike a shader in specific scenes, you can set hotkeys for any shader in the ReShade overlay.
install reshade:
Download it here: https://reshade.me/downloads/ReShade_Setup_4.5.4.exe
Double click, search for re3.exe/re3demo.exe and select it.
Select Direct3D 10+
Afterwards a window with a list of shaders will pop up.
Uncheck all and add the following repositories: Mortalitas/GShade, prod80/prod80-ReShade-Repository
Shaders you need to tick:
prod80_05_LumaSharpen
prod80_03_Shadows_Midtones_Highlights
prod80_04_ContrastBrightnessSaturation
prod80_03_Levels
Lightroom
RTGlobalIllumination (this one is optional and not in any repository since it's not free yet. You can get it for I believe 5$ here: https://www.patreon.com/mcflypg)
If you got that, open steam and right click Resident Evil 3, select "browse local files" and drop my preset in the folder that opens.
Select my Preset by clicking on "Default Preset" in the overlay and clicking on CleanPreset.ini.
Next, you need to check this either in the ReShade overlay or in your ReShade.ini located in the game folder. (you can copy&paste this into your .ini):
PreprocessorDefinitions=RESHADE_DEPTH_LINEARIZATION_FAR_PLANE=1000.0,RESHADE_DEPTH_INPUT_IS_UPSIDE_DOWN=0,RESHADE_DEPTH_INPUT_IS_REVERSED=1,RESHADE_DEPTH_INPUT_IS_LOGARITHMIC=0
I shouldn't have forgot anything here, but if I did, let me know.
Also if you have questions, don't hesitate to ask.
I decided to enable donations, but please only donate if you really like what I do and have some money to spare. Think of yourself first! ^^
