It's a copyright thing mostly which since this is free I don't have to worry about. The HK USP 45 mod I made has space on the base texture for the USP markings on the hand grip but clearly removed them. I added the markings back in as best as I could.
This is true. They would need to license the weapon names and models from the manufacturers to be able to use all the names, markings, and have the weapons look exactly the same. Notice Metal Gear Solid 4 and Metal Gear Solid 5 for example. The huge difference between the two games in terms of weapons. Personally I'd rather have had David Hayter, realistic weapons, and a finished game rather than Keifer Sutherland...but I digress. :-D
It's a work in progress version not released I'm working on. You can get the currently released version in the Casual Jackets by SilverEzredes, the lived in leather black addon. The Head is a separate mod Julia Voth Head by Chiarav1 currently only available on the RE modding forums. Edit: it is now available on Nexus
