I haven't personally tested this mod in a long time, but I would assume it still works. I've been following RE2 updates and I don't think they've modified assets in a way that breaks mods like this.
Weird question, but is there a way to do the opposite? I've got a game as a gift from my Japanese friend, so it's censored. Wondering if i can reverse it.
How did you make a mod like this? Did you rip files from the japanese version? I have been trying to figure out how to do this with Nioh 2 complete edition how difficult is it to do something like this?
It's been a couple of years, so I don't remember the exact process, but it was something very close to this: - Extract all files from International and Japanese versions - Compare the files and generate a list of the ones which are different - Separate all the files which are different and include those in the mod (I think I only included meshes and textures) - I also had to manually edit a configuration file related to censored content
That was the process for RE2. Of course, this will depend heavily on the engine.
The only problem about this mod is when I try use this mod combine with tofu zombies mod will not working if this mod combine with tofu zombies mod.Any idea ?
I'm not completely sure what's going wrong, but enemy meshes are handled very differently in the censored version of the game compared to the uncensored version, so that might be related (the game could be expecting parts of a mesh which doesn't exist). I can't think of any way to fix it.
the scene where he is ripped in half looks so cartoony and stupid this version is actually better so at least japan had that shame about all the other fun gore being missing
I will try making one by doing the reverse of this (if Fluffy doesn't mind, and if someone else doesn't do it first). I don't have the Japanese version though, so I have to ask a friend in Japan to test it (which may take some time).
