Hi! The mod is not working for some reason, could it be connected with RE/REFramework/FluffyManager updates after mod's modification? I have a non-rt version, latest REFramework and Fluffy Managers are installed, no errors in scripts. I'm new to RE series and I might do something wrong. Is there some way to check in game that the mode is applied like with some other popular ones (specific scripts or section in fluffym menu)? Will be grateful for help, the shaking is annoying as f
It's still non-RT only. I do plan on porting my Smooth Locomotion mods to the Ray Tracing engine but they got put on the back burner for a bit as I've been busy working on some other mods.
I just tested the RE2 Smooth Locomotion mod with Praydog's latest TDB66 mod from November 25th and can confirm that it works fine in VR with both OpenVR and OpenXR. It technically works in pancake too, the only hard requirement is that you are using the DX11 (or non Ray Tracing) version of the game.
If the Smooth Locomotion mod isn't working for you, uninstall all mods and re-verify your Steam files. Then reinstall the Smooth Locomotion mod. If you are using Fluffy Mod Manager, make sure you are using the latest version (v2.256) and re-read your game archives before reinstalling the mod. If you are using the standalone PAK version, drop the PAK file in your RE2 game folder and make sure to rename the file to re_chunk_000.pak.patch_007.pak. If you are using my other RE2 mods in PAK format, you might need to change the last digit to 008 or 009. Hopefully that helps!
Is it possible to bring back Leon's walking animations while keeping the changes the mod introduces? It's very unusual to see him move around using Claire's walking style.
I actually tried retaining Leon's original walking animations, unfortunately tampering with his animations was causing the game to frequently crash to the desktop. The only easy workaround I could find was swapping his animations out with modded animations from Claire.
It should make a tremendous difference with walking/running/strafing. Are you using the non-Ray Tracing version of the game? This mod won't work with the new engine.
