It auto exit on episode 3 the nightmare at the parking lot, episode 0,1 & 2 where OK must be my installation, I paste every Mortal Nights file to RE2 folder except the "ddraw" coz my RE2 already got "ddraw"...Did i do something wrong, did I paste it wrong?
I also tried pasting the "ddraw" into the mortal folder its still auto exit
i found the solution but it took me weeks to figure out 😔 I had a file name "dinput8.dll" I remove and everything's OK
heya love this mod, am wondering will there be voice acting in future for the scenes with dialogs as its hard to read when the text goes by too fast or an option to make text go when I press a button?
what i found was when i download the mod there was a video that says take its content and put it into the re2 sourcenext folder then take the ddraw dll and put that into mortal night folder i think?
im getting crashes when i enter the rpd courtyard like after the bus where you get the weak magnum also crashes when i go to i think the building you use the special key in RE3 cannot go anywhere it seems well i may of figured it out i wasnt runing the 1.10 ver but it still crashes in the room where you get the door code from a zombie you kill
So honest answer: you have to use the RE2 Sourcenet version (this is stated in the instructions). In the past you used to be able to buy it online from Japan at: https://www.sourcenext.com/products/capcom/bio2.html? But you can't buy it anymore, they stopped selling it. One reason is the base game is incompatible with Windows 10... another perhaps is the CD format which I think is surely going obsolete. To get it now you either need to find a friend who has the CD's and the CD keys or torrent it unfortunately. Perhaps one day they sell a Windows 10 compatible version or it goes online like many Steam and GoG games?
Back to the subject: If you manage to get a copy, then be aware the install program is in Japanese. So you may have to click and guess which button to click if you don't read Japanese. The mod fixes the crashing issues (making it playable) and translates the various menus to English.
i own RE2 Platinum. is there a version of mortal night for my version? holy crap, i just seen RE2 platinum on Amazon for $54.99. is my version rare? it`s in mint shape though. paid $1.00 for it 20 years ago. private sale.
Welp, I spent the better part of a weekend getting the game to work without realizing all of this was here on the nexus. more the fool I am for not checking here first.
As for the mod, it is amazing. this feels like one of the OG REs for the PS1, and I love it. There were only two major issues I encountered during my two playthroughs. The first was when I tried to use the shotgun to decapitate infected USS members, the blast of the gun was so mighty it killed the exe. file. The solution was to do as nature intended and kill the undead with only my quick wit, mighty muscles, and a magnum round between the eyes. Second up, when I tried to search Marvin's corpse a second time, the game displayed " u' " as text and crashed. Obviously I had failed to press 'F' to pay respects, so the next time, I just took his gun and left, solemn and saddened. Other than that though, great game, perfectly implemented, and lovingly crafted.
Very nice to see episode 2 and 3 are here. Good job though I am experiencing serious slowdown during episode 2 when I get to Alissa's part. For an unknown reason I get les than 5 fps with some variations depending on the room I am in which makes it unplayable, even the main menu becomes laggy.... Could you help ? Thanks a lot
