This statement is confusing for me " Drop into "~Mods" folder, name "yCameraMod_P" if not already."

There is no Mods folder, should I create it? where exactly should I create it in that case?
The game has plenty directories inside.
    Help?

FIle path is "C:\XboxGames\Remnant- From the Ashes\Content\Remnant\Content\Paks" for gamepass/windows(Probably very similar in steam). You'll delete the _P from pakchunks (Example is pakchunk0-WinGDK_0_P.pak to pakchunk0-WinGDK_0), then make a new folder in this /Paks folder called "~Mods" and place the unpacked file in there.

Such a great idea. Problem is that I cant toggle back and forth between 1st and 3rd. Its nice to be able to 1st person to get a better view of the world or anything of interest but than continue 3rd personing it.

Hey this works really well with the upcoming universal unreal VR injector. Some issues with clipping though, and if it could unrender the helmet would work better with it.

Thanks for an amazing job with this mod!

Still working on a universal fix that will unrender the helmet, head, and neck of all player models. In the meantime, exeriments show the mod is best with a bald female character, and you should turn off the setting in-game that shows the helmet.

really good job on aligning the camera, I was surprised with how well everything flowed with first person! can't wait for when you alter the body /head clipping. my friend and I did play around with it in our playthrough however, and we noticed a couple of things. turning the FOV modifier higher makes the sprinting zoom-out way more intense, although I'm sure that's because of the core game doing that even in third person. also, when the crystal is used it stays in first person, while with resting at the checkpoint it zooms out to third person which is a little jarring sometimes. after playing around with the mod on The Ent, we noticed when we were below it and looking upwards at it while close, the ranged weapon seems to disappear or glitch out. we both REALLY enjoy the mod, thank you for making it. figured it might help to let you know some of those things we found.

I can tell you why all these things happen. To prevent the most extreme model clipping, the camera detects when you are looking ~40-45 degrees off center up or down, and unrenders the whole player.

As for resting at the crystals, I bet that counts as an emote, which has remained 3rd Person along with vaulting, climbing ladders, and certain weapon-mod uses.

Everything should be seamless 1stPerson once I manage to render the head and chest as transparent. Thanks for the info though.

Omg, Yesss! Thank you so much for making this :D loving it
p.s. does it alter coop partners' game files in any way;...that is,: would it be safe & ethical to use in public lobby?

It shouldn't. The files altered are simply those that maintain the camera's position in reference to the player. But as with any mod, it's recommended all participants have it installed.
