omg, I need about half an hour to get this thing to work. I should've read the description completely... thank you very much! Reconstructor-Range is perfectly working now! :)
The Mortar Pistol, Player character settings, free upgrades, god mode, safehouse vehicle selector, and Stronger Explosives don't work. I did change the Build\pc\cache to Data\ but they just cease to function.
And how to rename the file table.vpp_pc? When i open a file using notepad++ everything is encoded ... I the file does not understand anything. The whole text is encoded.
I did, but when I open a file and try to rename it, everything is encoded with incomprehensible symbols. In this document everywhere here are such symbols - iњ? Tr # NUL NUL NUL NUL NUL And in line 38, too, such symbols How can this be renamed decisively not clear. The file is simply encoded. So I took a picture of what I have in this file shows. How should I rename it?
Nothing again is not clear (((( Good, how do I make the familiar plain encoding in English? because there in file is clearly not English if you open the file for renaming.
The heck you need to open the file? You dont need to open the file itself Just rename the WHOLE file,(table.vpp_pc, to something else like RENAMEDtable.vpp_pc) not the lines inside the file.
The reconstructor was made a long time ago by a hacking/modding wizard. It actually strongarmed the multiplayer reconstructor (including some ASM edits, which is very unknown) into SP. Now that it's included properly, the better option would be to modify the upgrade or unlock requirement to be granted immediately.
I see you have far better knowledge than me, you obviously know what you are talking about. Any way for you to write some kind of tutorial, something, for the Reconstructor to work?
Actually all changes i've made to the upgrades xml trying to enable it haven't clicked.. Like the file wasn't even there. Same with free upgrades and all upgrades from start, or any mod that makes changes to the upgrades.xtbl. New game or loading a saved one, no changes are registered.
I gave up yesterday trying to make an updated free upgrades/less expensive/all unlocked mod. Think the changes might be reflected in another xml file, rendering changes in that file moot, or just f***ing things up.
A possible easy fix could be, that it's most likely dlc01_upgrades.xtbl that overrides the original, and simply changing the reconstructor early unlock file from "data\misc.vpp\upgrades.xtbl" to "data\misc.vpp\dlc01_upgrades.xtbl", would fix it. Have to test it.
I tried unpacking misc, renaming upgrades.xtbl to dlc01_upgrades.xtbl repacking it and throwing it in the game, yet nothing changes. Cant unlock the reconstructor Am I doing something wrong here?
You are correct. Read the updated description on the mod page if you are curious. Rename your table.vpp to disable it or open up your table.vpp and look for a mirror of upgrades.xtbl. Sometimes it's in a different file (IE squads but table holding relevant data in squad_progression, even though that exists in both), but typically once you find the entry or categories, they should be the same as in misc.vpp\upgrades.xtbl, and the entry (not the entire file) can be mirrored. It's showing that the reconstructor is not automatically unlocked with the liberation of an area like some of the other items are, but to be purchased. Probably a scriptx or something that unlocks the upgrade.
In upgrades.xtbl, Reconstructor, second level. WEAP_REPAIR > Change unlock action to Unlocked. It might be hardcoded, I've seen somebody get around it by making a new entry as well.
I've got your converter working, ran it successfully, and am using the Mod Manager to activate mods. I have renamed table.vpp_pc as well (Is there something specific I need to rename it to?), but still no single player mods are working. I'm really only trying to get the vehicle selection at safe houses mod working yet nothing now other than no vehicles spawning at safe houses. Anything you can suggest?
Hey thanks so much man, I've actually gotten it working, I can spawn all three walkers at any safe house. Your converter is great and the detail about table.vpp_pc was crucial. I've managed to get pretty much any mod from the Steam Edition working on ReMarstered. Much obliged.
I'll update the description, but right now the ability for the launcher to rename table.vpp_pc has broken. table.vpp_pc acts as a check for validity as far as we know, and the easiest solution was to rename it, which causes crashes in MP. All you gotta do is rename table.vpp_pc to something else in your data\ folder and your SP mods will work. That, or the alternative is patching the table.vpp_pc, which few mod authors (I do in a few of mine) bother with, since we aren't positive how mods work in MP. It is said that users with a matching mod setup can see each other's lobbies.
Instead i searched my mods directory for .xml, opened up all files in Notepad++, and replaced "build\pc\cache\" with "data\" in all opened files. Just had to know to do this :)
Open the file in notepad, go to line 38, replace that with your mod folder that contains all your mods. Then run and follow instructions. It's self explanatory, lol But yes, that's correct.

The file is simply encoded.
So I took a picture of what I have in this file shows. How should I rename it?
Step 2. Press F2
Step 3. rename it to nottable.vpp_pc

I understood
Whenever I apply it, game crashes.
Can you help?

It's an engine thing I guess.
