I created the Lifelike Atmosphere Visuals Reshade rdr2 preset for Red Dead Redemption 2 after receiving requests on my Visual Redemption tutorial. This preset mod enhances the game's colors to reflect realistic weather changes while boosting clarity and detail for an immersive atmosphere throughout your gameplay. If you're looking for other mods that can really change up your RDR2 experience, take a look at my list of Best Red Dead Redemption 2 Mods. Installation Guide
Step 1: Install ReShade
  • Download ReShade 6.1.1: Get it from the official ReShade website.
  • Install ReShade:
    • Run the installer and select your RDR2 executable.
    • Choose DirectX 10/11/12 or Vulkan (I suggest Vulkan).
    • Select all effects by clicking "Uncheck All" and then "Check All."

Step 2: Install the Preset
  • Download the Preset: Get the "Lifelike Atmosphere Visuals ReShade v2.0" file.
  • Move the Preset Files: Place the contents of the "Lifelike Atmosphere Visuals ReShade v2.1" folder, including the reshade-shaders folder, the Lifelike Atmosphere Visuals ReShade configuration file, and the ReShade configuration file, into your RDR2 root directory (where RDR2.exe is).
Step 3: Activate the Preset
  • Launch RDR2: Start the game.
  • Open ReShade Menu:
    • Press [Windows] + [Home] to activate ReShade.
    • Press [Home] again to open the ReShade overlay.
  • Select the Preset: Choose "Lifelike Atmosphere Visuals ReShade v2.1" from the preset dropdown menu.
Game Settings
  • TAA: Set to High.
  • FXAA: Turn ON.
  • MSAA: Turn OFF.

NOTE:The ReShade preset uses key bindings to toggle specific effects. For example, pressing "4" enhances colors, and pressing "7" increases clarity. If these effects are not desired, you can adjust or disable the key bindings in the ReShade menu.
