After much searching and learning in the RDR2 modding world I can finally present a fix for the first issue I had with the game in Vanilla.

Simple model replacer for LML stream folder mod.


This mod replaces any instances of a Closed Collar shirt model that you wish, with Opened Collar shirt Models.

If you are not bothered by R*'s decision to force close collars with certain neck ware then you do not need this mod.

This mod is a simple model replace that is completely compatable with all mods that do not interfere with the shirt models AKA .ydd s

This mod does nothing to the shirt textures and thus can be used with any shirt texture mods AKA changes to .ytd s

This mod replaces the core shirt models by name so it is thus compatable with any catalog and shopitems merge.

This mod is completely compatable with Permanent Gunslinger Shirt >check installation instructions<



Originally I set out just to make the Gunslinger AKA Everyday shirt collar stay open with vests because I am a committed vest weared and Permanent Gunslinger Shirt doesnt work with vests.

This started a long journey of learning a lot about RDR2's file system.

Eventually I found a nice a simple replacer solution to spite R*'s complex clothing system. Tho I Thought it impossible many times.

In Short the mod looks best I would say with the Gunslinger AKA Everyday Shirt and the Casimere shirt as it was originally intended.

The Flannel shirt has some quirks: see **** under SIDE EFFECTS Section.

The other shirts have much uglier clipping with the bandana and or neckwear.

But in my journey I became so mad at the decision to force collars closed I wanted to find a way to Eleminate all instances of closed collars in the game.

I Feel I accomplished this finally.

And Thus I have supplied all shirt models in the game.  But I can't say I really recommend using all of the models due to the clipping issues.

Also Might be good to have atleast one shirt for formal collar forcing neckwear.

The Clipping and SIDE EFFECTS section entirely will likely never have a solution for it as far as this mod is concerned.

I Doubt I will be able to get around to fixing any issues that might strangely arise in other merges. But I will try to pin any conversation about them or other issues in the comments section.




!Manual install only!


Installation:


Select the shirts yo wish to FIX the collars for, inside each folder you will find another that contains the model replace files.

Place these files inside of your LML "Stream" folder.



>NOTE for Gunslinger AKA Everyday Shirt there is a file named "player_zero_shirt_000_c_b_co_short" which is not needed if using / will be replaced by Permanently Open Gunslinger Shirt mod<
>If You have already installed Permanent Gunslinger Shirt Mod simply ignore the file named "player_zero_shirt_000_c_b_co_short"<
>If You have already fully installed my gunslinger shirt models but have decided you want to install Permanent Gunslinger Shirt mod simply install Permanent Gunslinger Shirt Mod and replace any of my mod's files in the LML "Stream" folder.<




************** IF you only want the collar fixed for vest only Install ONLY the files that feature "vest" in their name. *******************

************** If you only want the collar fixed for no vest Install ONLY the files the DO NOT feature "vest" in their name. ***************



Uninstallation:

Remove contained pertaining files from your LML "Stream" folder





BUGS:

Note that a visual Bug is present when inside the wardrobe menu that sometimes causes the "rolled sleeve" shirt model to be visible and clipping into coats. >This should be corrected before completely leaving the menu and returning to play. It is only present in the wardrobe menu.<



SIDE EFFECTS:

*There are two main Side Effects that arise from using this mod and they are likely the reason why R* forced the game to not use the Open Collar Bandana Models which are present in the game files*

**The First Issue is obviously clipping with the bandana. This is in my opinion very minamal and acceptable for the trade of Open Collar**

***The Second is more of an issue.  Many of the coat and vest combos cause potential exposed flesh around the neck and collar seems. Some of these are worse than others and most look worse in the  wardrobe menu compared to in play. Yet will possibly be visible in some cutscene angles.***

***>Paisley Vest seems to be the worst offender of all while the crafted vests and western vest appear to have zero issues with seems<***

****To a much lesser degree the Flannel shirt has some oddities due to lack of "open - rolled" state models.  When using a bandana or non collar forcing neckware there are extra bottons at the lower torso portion of shirt as if it was a Casimere, and formal collar forcing neckware simply does not show at all. This is due to using Casimere "open - rolled" state models.  If this is an issue for you simply do not install the Flannel shirt models from this mod.****
