About this mod

This mods adds new and exciting bounties for you to collect. Most bounties are based off of the bounty system of RDR1.
There are 39 bounties in total. With some of them having a unique mission.
That's not all, with the new version(2.0.0) the bounties are replayable! just wait for about 6(in-game) hours and a new poster will spawn.

  • Download and install AB's ScripthookRDR2: http://www.dev-c.com/rdr2/scripthookrdr2/ (make sure you install the asi loader).
  • Remove previous versions of the mod, if you have any installed.
  • Copy BountiesExpansion.asi and BountiesExpansion.dat to the game's main installation folder.
  • IMPORTANT: You need to have your Red Dead Redemption 2 main installation folder unchecked of "read-only" or run it in Administrator mode
for this mod to work properly.

How To Play:
  • Get to one of the new bounty poster appeared on you map. It's in a different spot from the game builtin bounty posters to prevent collisions.
  • Collect it.
  • Head for the new bounty area added to your map.
  • The location is most likely well guarded and patrolled, you can sneak your way to your target or try the direct approach(or a combination of the two).
  • Locate and hogtie the target.
  • Get to the police department. Watch out though, there maybe others looking to collect.
  • Drop the target by the cell and get your reward.

Known Issues:
  • Occasional memory exception error when killing a guard (As of version 2.0.8 this should be fixed) .
  • Stay too long in the Sheriff's office and they may attack you.
  • You're welcome to report if you encounter other issues, and please add the log file (BountiesExpansion.log)

Extra info:
  • Every town holds 6 bounties(except for Armadillo).
  • When you complete a bounty, a new poster will appear after 6 (in-game) hours.
  • The regular bounties contain the target and a couple of guards. They use a detect system.
This way you can try and sneak your way in.
  • Some bounties have additional information on them(may be expanded upon in the future).
  • There is a chance for you to be chased by bounty hunters, you can try and run them off or face them head on.
  • It's recommended(not required) to play post-story.
  • While you're playing a main- or side mission the mod will be disabled to
prevent you from walking into a bounty radius by accident.

Difference between Main and RDR1 edition:

  • The RDR1 Version is basically the same as the Main Version. Only a couple of bounties have been changed.
The Main Version holds 7 unique bounties. These have their own little story and objective to them apart from the bounties with bodyguards and such. The RDR1 Edition changes the unique bounties to be like the other bounties. With bodyguards, detection and all. These bounties are made to look like the ones present in RDR1. That's why it is called the RDR1 Edition.

Explanation on why it says: recommended playing post-story:

  • One reason for this is some bounties take advantages of certain buildings and structures.
Some of which only appear post story. So this reason is only in terms of enhancing
the gameplay, they still work none the less.
Another reason is because it's just generally advised to play post story when playing with
mods. I have been working on and with this mod for nearly a year now and
I have yet to get a corrupted save game. So if you ask me the risks of any
corruption are negligible. I still recommend playing it post story none the less.
In short: It might be more fun and it's just generally advised when playing with mods.
