New York Central and Hudson River Railroad No. 999 (source: trains-worldexpresses.com)
Dear Outlaws,
The trains blasting away after leaving the station wasn't doing it for me so I decided to mod this. After a bit of research here are the results. Hope you enjoy!
Pros:
Top speeds of trains have been adjusted to their real life steam locomotives "Thatcher Perkins" 4-6-0 (100 mph) and NYC #999 4-4-0 (86mph)
Acceleration & deacceleration both depend on the weight of the locomotive and the number of cars behind it (heavier -> slower start, longer time to stop)
This affects all NPC trains
Cons:
For simplicity, I made the calculations with car weights set to 100 tones regardless of type (box car or passenger car)
BUG: Smoke stack disappears around 67 mph for some reason
Mission braking bugs? I haven't tested every mission with trains
