If a weapon's condition is above 25% (one bar out of the four is grayed out in the condition status, this is the default, editable through the ini), there is a ~20% chance of the weapon exploding and breaking. After the weapon breaks, you won't be able to use it until you clean it. There'll be a status message in the top left of your weapon wheel letting you know if your currently equipped weapon is broken. The weapon explosion does no damage to you (the fire might), but knocks you over, which is editable through the ini.
You need an asi loader, just drop WJam.asi and WJam.ini in your RDR2 game directory
