Hey I'm looking to get this on Steam in a few days. But someone said that its a bad PC port and it doesn't run so good. Is this true?

Hi, StantonCree :) I completely, utterly, absolutely, sincerely, emphatically disagree with the person who said it's a bad PC port! *Laughs*

I play keyboard and mouse on it at 4k resolution all-ultra, and it's hands down the most beautiful game out as far as I and my girlfriend are concerned. And mechanically it's comfortable and easy to play!

I bought it from Rockstar Games directly (pre-order), and since it came out nearly a month ago I've already played Red Dead Online 126 hours. I also did the introduction on the Single Player, and it's pretty amazing as well, but I'm not interested in the single player so am sticking entirely to the Online game.

Also, Rockstar Games does not consider this a PC port. They consider it its own game. That's why they don't have cross platform play between consoles and PC. They wrote this for the PC, and it's truly amazing. :)

Well written Karna about RDR 2, the game is certainly a great game and well made, but to be fair you do need a proper PC to run the game, otherwise you can get in trouble hardware wise. But if you do own a fairly decent PC RDR 2 is the most beautiful game made sofar. And gameplay in online is just fun and pretty easy to learn.

Great to hear from you, my friend! I agree that to play RDR2 at 4k resolution all-ultra needs at least a 1080Ti graphics card, though 1080p resolution only needs about a fourth the horse power so could probably get away with a slightly weaker card :)

Also the DX12 option is noticeably better looking than other formats, but that's true for other new games like Resident Evil 2 :)

Very good to see a post from you, Karna5. You have been missed by many people. I've been considering this as a new game to play. Great to read your opinion of it in the other comments.

Nice overview of the landscapes and weather from the game.
I have been considering purchasing it, but I am still too involved with Fallout4.
Glad to see that you're keeping busy.

It's wonderful to hear from you, my good friend :) They lifted my imageshare restriction, so I hope to visit Nexus more going forward :) Though I probably won't post much Fallout 4 even though I still play it. The games I most play currently are Fallout 4, GTA 5 Online and Red Dead Redemption, but there's many other mixed in there.

I don't play the single player RDR2 at all because I'm neither interested in playing a male character nor playing a scripted story line. But the online portion of the game has a lot of peaceful stuff for a blind person like me to do. It's a lot of fun just exploring quietly in the game :)

I guess you served your time in the Nexus jail. Good to hear you're still playing Fallout4. And, thanks for all the info on RDR2. It will definitely help me decide if I want to get it. It is very good looking and good to know there are alternatives to the scripted story.
I am currently playing one of my old characters but they all carry a certain helmet around. For new characters it's the first thing I build:

*Laughs* It took me a minute to remember why that helmet looked so familiar! *Laughs* Gosh, it's been a long time :)

Thanks for the follow up, my friend! :)

Howdy pardner. Good to see ya, old timer. Looks like Fable done saddled her up a plow horse. Good thinkin'. No sidewinder wanna steal that horse, 'cept maybe those Wells-Fargo varmints.

*Laughs* It's soooo good to see you here, my friend! Funny on that wells-fargo thing. I just logged into RDO a little while ago and was wandering randomly and showed up in the town of Armadillo. There was a huge gunfight going on, and I noticed a player was trying to deliver a wagon of trade goods to the town and had a couple of dozen bandits interfering. I pulled out my lasso and tied up some of the bandits and then walked off leaving the player to complete the delivery on his own *Laughs*

Those deliveries always make me nervous, but they're good money when they work out. I'll probably log in this afternoon and make a delivery myself :)

      Great to see you! :)
