Here's some stuff I'm planning to change around with this:
- It always bothered me that Laramies at Hanging Dog in the Epilogue show up as Strangers, whereas in random events and ambushes they show up as "Laramie". Gonna dig around for the NPC name strings and see about changing that.
- I ran across some scenario files the other day. Didn't immediately see anything inside about certain scenarios/events being repeatable, but I'll check on that later this week. I'd be nice to just continuously repeat random encounters and ambushes in the Epilogue. Give the end game a bit more substance rather than "you've killed all the highway robbers".
- I think I need to lower the drop rate of animal skins and herbs for gang members. After testing the drop rates I got a pelt or herbs about 60% of the time. I'd prefer that be closer to 25-30.
- Keeping the same good/perfect pelt drops I think is fine. Dropping a poor pelt kinda wouldn't make sense as if they're hunters themselves they probably wouldn't be lugging around a shot up, mangy pelt.
- I was thinking of adding gold/silver tooth drops to Skinner Brothers. Digging around in the items matrix META file didn't yield anything obvious, so I'll be checking through scenario files as the only time I've gotten tooth drops was during the "injured trail rider" (falls off horse) and "crying Night Folk woman" encounters.
- Bounty hunter loot has always seemed a little fantastic to me. Might lower the valuable drop rate a bit. I get that it's a reward for killing off the people hunting you, but given how many will chase you, especially with a $1,500.00 bounty, I don't think I should get a buckle or ring from nearly every single one. We've all seen the scraggly little wankers during the mission with Sadie where you capture Thurwell... ain't no way in hell they're sporting platinum buckles and gold rings. Maybe a few teeth, though.
- I'll be adding Bulrush, Burdock, Milkweed, and Vanilla Flower (max 2) to Night Folk loot pools. In addition to maybe making the encounters appear a lot more often.
