Hey boss, I have a QD OLED monitor and I got some questions if you please...

Are we supposed to use this mod with the in-game HDR settings at default? I don't understand how to set paper white to 203 nits as you say to do since there is no paper white slider in game, just a "HDR Brightness" slider, forgive me I'm slightly new to all this but I want to learn...

I also find there is a large black level raise at least at the start of the game at the Saloon and in many other parts of the intro, lowering the black floor with the black floor fix shader made the game look much better, is the raised black level intended or am I wrong about something here? It was my understanding that a RenoDX fixes the HDR including low hanging fruit issues like a raised black floor, I'm going to assume I am doing something wrong here...

I also find altering the peak brightness with the RenoDX slider does not really affect anything, the only way I can actually affect peak brightness properly is using the in-game HDR Brightness settings, I know this as I'm using Lilium he HDR analysis tool

    Thanks mate

you most likely have the in game brightness slider set to something very high, hence it looking washed out. If the peak slider isn't affecting anything then you most likely have the in game brightness slider so high its near or even above your peak. the in-game brightness slider allows for impractically high values, e.g. the max is like 6400 nits paper white.  Only the few left most values on the slider are even usable. set it to +2 clicks from the left for 203 nits, which is the default recommended value.

Would a visual overhaul like vestigia conflict with this?

Do you know if anyone is working on creating a RenoDX mod to add native HDR to Grand Theft Auto V Enhanced?

This is weird, why is it doing this?

    Edit:
Seems to be some kind of conflict with SpecialK. addon loads fine without it

Hi, thanks for this it really helps the game be more immerssive!

Can you help me though, I find that I want more HDR brighness in the day and less at night, but the slider is the same for both. Any way to fix this?

    Update:
    - Requires new ReShade 6.4
    - Fixed some crashing issues
    - Fixed incorrect mid-gray tonemapping calculations, Vanilla+ has been overhauled and now boosted is removed as it is no longer necessary

This does not seem to work for me.
Installed reshade with addon support, put the renoDX file in rdr folder as per instructions, the addon loads up but there is zero difference in presets.
what am I doing wrong here?

This is being odd for me. It is only making lamps brighter and the UI darker. Everything else in the scene (including the sun) shows no difference when moving the slider.

Thanks for this! Looks much better. I still would like to lower the black floor a little. I usually do it with illium's HDR black floor fix, but this is the first time I couldn't get it do anything.
