Can you mix and match these textures with the RDR overhaul project?

Can some one help me install this please. I'm very new to modding and don't understand what I need to do with magicRDR. I have already downloaded the files from here. In the folder name "Whole .rpf (faster installation)" there are two files: grassres.rpf and mapres.rpf. These two files also exist in my game directory already at: Red Dead Redemption\game. So am I just replacing the files in my game directory with the downloaded ones? Again where does MagicRDR come in. Thanks

Just get the whole .rpf version, if you ain't sure what to do. Then you just have to replace the existing one that you can find in your RDR game folder.

In Magric RDR is there a way to replace all or do i just manually have to press replace every single time for every single file?

Unfortunately no. MagicRDR kinda sucks. Get CodeX.Explorer, if you have a few bucks left. Otherwise use the .rpf installation method from this mod.

I have seen people doing tutorials on installation where they simply drag and drop and Magic RDR replaces the files with the same names, for some reason drag and drop is not working for me, so yeah just a pain in the ass to individually replace every wtd file. I will just replace the whole rpf´s

Hi. Amazing mod! However I still have these streaks on the terrain, as seen in the picture. Is there anything I can do?

i have that reality mod too and just added on top of it.
these textures are way higher and the game looks really good now.
it seems like a true remastered game now.

Download the individual mod files version of this texture mod and add all .wtd files manually to mapres.rpf and grassres.rpf using any .rpf editor.

Reality Redemption uses the update folder, so where exactly do we install the files (manually) to the .rpf in the update folder that Reality Redemption creates or to the original .rpf in game folder?

Would anyone have an idea on how to remove the ridiculous bloom? In Escalera at night all the white buildings glow to the point where it's blinding, even the sand there at sunset has this incomprehensible blinding glow, it's a real problem.

You should try Materialize from Bounding Box Software. It's free. Your upscaled diffuse maps are pretty nice, but those normal maps really do have that trademark, muddy CrazyBump look. You won't go back ;)

I'll give it a shot when I get back to RDR1 modding. Thanks a lot for the advice, much appreciated :)
