Is there a way to turn off the auto aim?

Even on 'expert' aim, shots that are so obviously off tend to hit targets. Sometimes you even see bullet trails go one way, as a bullet smacks someone in the face slightly the other way.

The mod only modifies the damage received to make it harder on hardcore. I haven't changed it and I probably won't.

So you literally changed nothing compared to hardcore.

Bro, any chance you could explain to us how to edit the player health back to normal values? I always liked hardcore mode because it forced you to actually buy medicine to fill your health and dead eye faster.. the player vulnerability to damage aint my cup of tea.

Is it possible to make a mod that enables aim assist in hardcore mode?

Could you upload the normal files in case someone wants to uninstall the mod?

As an aside to llihP's comment, is it possible at this point to allow auto aiming of any sort in hardcore mode? The one thing holding back the console game was the dificulty of rapid fire aiming in the original hardcore mode on an analog stick, resulting in deaths long before you had a chance to aim at a group of ambushers.

If not that, is it at all possible to bring over the ordinary hardcore changes (except for the removal of auto aim) to normal difficulty? I ask because I love the hardcore mode but prefer playing the game on a controller for horse gameplay. I've tried using both keyboard and mouse with controller and simply swapping for the task needed but since day one of the PC release the controller seems to interfere with input when plugged in. That could easily be due to it being a 3rd party controller so eh.

I'd have tried it myself but never got anywhere with it back when modding it on the Switch emulator.

Nice mod. But can the accuracy of npc be lowered? I think that could be a nice touch to rebalance

No, I don't think it's necessary and it won't be done. The mod only modifies the damage received. Accuracy remains the same as in vanilla (standard game). It is possible to do shooting and bounty hunting missions without getting hurt too much using dead eye and when you don't have to, you can turn around if you stay away from them. If you die, consequence, after all, covering yourself is important. It's hardcoremode.

PS: Optional file removing instant Headshot Kill on the Player added in Files. Check it out.
