I'd appreciate if you can allow this to work with other files in the folder aswell. I'd like to replace the Nvidia streamline files aswell (i.e sl.dlss.dll, sl.reflex.dll) with the latest ones. But the game will not let me launch it without asking to be updated if I replace these.

    Thanks.

Thanks for your excellent work in the community! Any update on loose file loading support?

The rudimentary support is done, now we just need to make it actually useable and user friendly

Nice. Looking forward to it. I'll update the Vortex extension to accommodate the loose file loading when it's released.

when streaming fragments.rpf, i get a weird issue where the opening cutscene of abraham reyes' second mission, "the gates of el presidio", will be automatically skipped, making the scene not play. the rpf is completely vanilla, unedited. perhaps this is some kind of overload issue, similar to what happens in lenny's mod loader for rdr2? fragments has the biggest file size out of all the rpfs i'm streaming (1.87gb), so it would make sense.

i have uploaded a save file here, so that you can easily test it out for yourself. just exit the casa madrugada safehouse, and use the coach nearby to quickly fast travel to agave viejo, where the reyes mission takes place

i've done more testing on this issue, reported all of my findings in the bug reports.

i have a question, there are many mods that change something using the same file "tune_d11generic.rpf" so what should i do about it, should i make a folder in rpf and add the extra file there?

no, you have to use magicrdr (or codex, if you're willing to subscribe to its patreon) to merge both RPFs. there are a few mods here which have included tutorials on how to do such a thing in their descriptions.

Thanks for this. I added support and automatic download of this mod to the RDR Vortex Extension. I changed .rpf files to install to the "kml/rpf" folder.

The Vortex extension already includes UAL, so mods can be dropped off to the update folder, though. I guess it’ll support raw files eventually anyway

Yes, that's the main reason I switched it up. Plus UAL conflicts with the Scripthook

Just put asi files to plugins folder, I don't think scripthook uses that

Asi files go in the root folder by the exe. Thats where Scripthook is, so that's where they go.

Ultimate ASI Loader ones can go into the plugins folder.

Unable to download the file as my Anti-Virus immediately tags it as Trojan:Win32/Wacatac.B!ml

I would recommend you use Vortex and add an exception in Windows Defender for your Vortex folders. Otherwise, this will happen constantly with these types of dll mods.

      It is a false positive.

Any chance this mod support rdr2.

This is kinda pointless, you can already do that with Ultimate ASI Loader by creating an update folder

      I cant find it here.
When I search for "red dead redemption modloader" on google, Ill find this nexus page, but I wont find the github page for the ultimate ASI loader.
So why should everyone here on nexus know that something like that exists on github, nor how to use it there?
Good for you that you know this but it doesnt make it pointless at all.

Well this is only the start, we are actively working on file replacement support. So there is indeed a need for that

I mean if you get file replacement working that'll be great, will wait for that then

AnimYo, funny thing is, you literally need Ultimate ASI Loader to use this mod in the first place; moreover, UAL is the one asi loader for literally any game, if you're modding games and don't know about UAL that's on you (it's also universal for all games)

Also wdym "how to use it there" they literally have the instructions in the readme just say you didn't know about it lol

Anyway, another question - will this be OSS?

I don't use the Ultimate ASI loader. I made my own and it differs from it.
This mod will probably not be OSS

Ah, my bad. The usual assumption when seeing a dinput8 and an asi file is that it’s UAL

Yeah, what we actually need is a loose files mod loader so that we don't need to use Magic RDR to add loose files into the .rpf files. Looks like this author will be adding that later.

Yep, currently working on it. XML support is done, but still working on resource files.
