Explore the game like you were in 1911 (No GPS Navigation, MiniMap replaced by a compass, location text pop up disabled, some HUD stuff disabled, etc...).

The mod aims to bring a more immersive experience by removing some HUD elements, but still preserving the playability.

Installation

1. Extract the zip to your desktop
2. Use MagicRDR and open content.rpf located at Steam\steamapps\common\Red Dead Redemption\game
At the top left, select content folder, inside of it select ui folder, and then to the right of the screen mouse click right on one of the files. Select import directory and choose the folder named content-ui you extracted in step 1
3. Save the file

4. Use MagicRDR and open mapres.rpf located at Steam\steamapps\common\Red Dead Redemption\game
At the top left, select the mapres folder, and then to the right of the screen mouse click right on one of the files. Select import directory and choose the folder named mapres you extracted in step 1

- GPS navigation in mini map (now a compass shows instead)
- Location text pop up
- Every blips except the yellow mission one (check out the optional files if you want to restore some)
- Ammo counter (you still can check the ammo with the weapon wheel)
- Custom waypoint icon removed

- Disable GPS in the map screen
- In map screen, prevent the game from auto centering to the player
