Mod updated to 1.2. Filename was renamed to avoid confusing people up (even though it had no impact whatsoever). Otherwise no other changes in this version.
hi, so far i only had to install individual files within the main RPF file but i don't know how to place the dds file within swall.wtd do i have to use the "import" option?
i think the texture import thing in general just doesnt work? i reverted everything back to a back up and tried to install this in a swall file and it just ignores it, i even followed the tutorial that the murder scene blood mod made to a T and it just doesnt work
can we get an in depth installation tutorial please? i cant for the life of me get the file to work, i hit all the replaces and do everything i can and it just doesnt work lol
I cannot find small.wtd inside the mapres.rpf. This doesnt have to do anything with your mod but i was wondering if you know the solution for said problem.
Why are two different archives that are supposed to be editing the SAME texture, have two completely different filenames? Also why did rockstar make more than one blood pool anyway if they only use one? (don't answer that last one lmao.) .... Yeah idk what these filenames are... I resized and renamed your files to match the other mods/default files and now they work. It should be "bloodypool01.dds" and "bloodypool01_n.dds"
I truly apologize for thinking the filename mattered for BOTH methods. Up until this mod went against the grain and started using random filenames I could do mass file replacement for texture archives. (import folder) That feature DOES in fact require the same file names. So uh yeah. Replace feature is fine I guess. You didn't respond to my last point either: you also made the resolution about 100x smaller than the original file. Will you tell me that I am dense for pointing that inconsistency out?

Very interesting. In the description you assume everyone having a problem with your poor form, (random filenames) means that they are incapable of creating simple texture mods using photoshop and saving the dds as dxt5. I can do that just fine, with the REQUIRED original file name using folder import thanks. I literally mentioned this in my initial comment. I resized the texture in photoshop and renamed it for it to work with folder import.

You are correct? I think.. lol. The resolution originally WAS 256x256 but it seems the size (of bloodypool01) does not matter since I (and the other blood mods, I mistakenly thought a modded/upscaled vanilla file was default) resized that one to 1024x1024. The normal map probably has to be the same size though since it is the same in the other mods and I kept it the same as well.

After reading this sad drama, which grew from an innocent comment like a nuclear mushroom, it seems to me that we all need to repent, because there is less and less love in the world lately. It's scary to imagine what would have happened in real life if one of the respected creators had a colt in his hands and if an ungrateful random had suddenly asked an unexpected, but equally reckless question, like - what is the full path to replace files, lol, it would have probably ended in tragedy.
