Features FDLE Special Operations Team and FHP Special Response Team
The Florida Department of Law Enforcement is an independent agency responsible for state wide investigations. FDLE Special Agents handle a wide variety of crimes and assist local police and sheriff's offices with limited resources, to include, homicide, public official misconduct, police misconduct, as well as major drug trafficking crimes. FDLE is the State of Florida's investigative arm. FDLE Special Operations Team special agents provide critical incident response, executive protection for the Governor, and include service of high-risk warrants, and assisting in the apprehension of fugitives and violent suspects.
Florida Highway Patrol (FHP) Special Response Teams (SRT) are specialized units within the FHP tasked with handling high-risk situations that require advanced tactical response capabilities. SRT teams are dedicated to managing critical incidents such as hostage situations, barricaded suspects, high-risk warrant services, and counter-terrorism operations. FHP SRT teams provide special capabilities to rural Florida counties that may otherwise lack such support.
