"no convoluted, labyrinth layout" Thank you very much for this, it is a big gripe I have with custom maps, we tend to forget that buildings are made for people and therefore made as simple and functional and cost effective as possible. Some custom maps have great interior design but the layout is so extravagant and labyrinthic that it doesn't feel real and breaks immersion big time.
Your map is great and believable, the only issue I have found is that the pink neon signs are so bright it physically hurts to look at them.
this map is exceptionally good, it strikes a good balance of suspect amount and suspect type. it's nice to have a map with a simple theme that isn't connected to any overarching conspiracy; sometimes SWAT just gets called in on regular old crime. the aesthetic of the map was really good and you nailed the feeling of a seedy neighborhood.
there were a few issues i had though, mainly with the layout. you said that there was no labyrinthine layout but it did feel a bit winding and claustrophobic outside. i personally don't have a problem with that, but a lot of times i would get stuck behind AI officers or a random object and have to look down to see what i got caught on. it would be nice if some of the passages were widened a little bit and maybe a second path to the strip club opened up, since the fatal funnel there can be brutal if suspects leave the strip club area. the drug lab could also use some visual indicator that it's there, because i spent around 10 minutes looking around the map after i had cleaned the main areas confused as to why the map wasn't done.
but overall i had a great time with the map and will definitely be replaying it. hope you make many more like it in the future
I rarely comment on something whether it is on Youtube or anywhere else but you sir earned it. This map is awesome due to it's simplicity. Like MasterM8 mentioned before the map is not labyrinthic. Much more orientaed to real life than other maps I have played and that is very good.
I do not need the next shiny bling bling Jeffrey Epstein estate nor a horror inspired map which has so much stuff cramped into it my gpu starts to slow down. This map in comparison has no fancy bullshit and no overexaggerated effects or "special" theme to it. You really did a great job by creating an everyday place in which SWAT would operate.
While the map was fun, the strip club was annoying to go through since the benches were annoying. And the private room needs less clutter because one suspect got stuck in the corner and shooting at him after he surrendered would of had my NPC team shoot me down.
dude your maps are genuinely the best i've ever played in this game. i didn't even check the mod author, but i just realized you also made bala perdida which is my favorite map in the game. keep up this amazing work, i will be using this map for an upcoming episode of my youtube series, episode one was bala perdida because of how much i love it. it'd be sick if we could collaborate too i love this work, i'm gonna send you a DM, in the meantime i'll be running this map repeatedly lol, thank you. episode one with bala perdida is here if ur interested
Gave it a shot but like many others pointed out already, it has the same issue as your other mod "Bala Perdida", which is the map darkens when aiming down sight.
EDIT: Author fixed both maps, what a legend. This map deserves a lot, really impressive just like your previous one :) Keep up the good work!
