Bjorn's East Whittier Yard Rebuild
This is another rebuild of East Whittier Yard, with expanded functionality and CTC integration. Key Improvements:
Extended Yard & Expanded Interchange: Enlarged the original yard and expanded the existing interchange.
Additional Interchange & Sorting Yard: Added a second interchange within a newly created extra sorting yard.
New Staging Yard: Introduced a second sorting/staging yard with a two-track interchange.
Improved Pull-Out Tracks:
East End: Added a long pull-out track to allow yard operations without interfering with the mainline or disrupting CTC.
West End: Created a pull-out track connected to Connelly, enabling efficient yard work without entering the mainline.
Enhanced Engine House Connectivity: Connected the engine house tracks to the east end of the yard, allowing access from both sides.
Updated Diesel Refueling: Moved the diesel stand refuel trigger for tank cars to a new, separate track.
Additional Storage Tracks: Added caboose and engine storage tracks at both ends of the expanded yard.
Repositioned Repair Track: Relocated the repair parts track to an area outside the engine house.
Coal Loader Extension: Extended the coal loader track by two car lengths, now accommodating three 3-bay hopper cars within the switch.
