Stygian Quake II 1.1 Demo
Mainly this is a demonstration of the changes I made to the chaingun; it no longer fires during spinup, spinup takes half as long, and you can fire again immediately if you don't let it spin-down too long. Also made general improvements to its controllability so it won't waste twice the bullets you meant to use. For balance, it does slightly less damage: nerfed from 8 down to 7-8 (not super noticeable). I made major and minor changes to every weapon used in this video and several of the enemies featured here too; check the full changelist in the mod description. Note: I don't normally play Quake II this way, or really any game this way; I'm usually pretty cautious and extremely thorough about combing through a level and finding everything - I'm also usually better about avoiding hits - I just figured that would be boring and waste everyone's time who wanted to get the gist of the chaingun and other weapon/enemy changes. This was recorded on Nightmare difficulty, though I had a lot of health, armor, and cells for my shield, so it wasn't exactly difficult. This song is from a fan remake of the Quake II OST called Stroggos Rising: https://youtu.be/nbhPUaeOuoQ?t=355
