Rearranges music to be all Sonic Mayhem! All new tracks for every level, including the N64 campaign!
No music was remixed or edited, all music belongs to Sascha Dikiciyan/ID Software
Want more Sonic Mayhem in your Quake game? Now you have it! I flipped the expansion and base music to give the game a fresh new feel with familiar tunes. This includes the N64 campaign and all expansions. On top of that, this comes with a mod that remixes weapon sounds and adds brand new skins!
I like to think of this mod as a 'what if' if Quake 2 was a launch title for Xbox/PS2. Welcome to the new millennium of Quake!
Place 'music' and 'pak20' into your:
\Quake 2\rerelease\baseq2 folder and enjoy!
I HIGHLY recommend copying your current music folder and renaming it to 'musicQ2' so you can easily swap back to vanilla by renaming the folders. This is especially useful if you use my other mods, such as VHS Quake II. For example: 'music' 'musicVHS' 'musicRemix' and easily swap soundtracks with a simple folder renames. No need to verify files for vanilla music
scr_scale 4 looks really good with the HUD
gun_x -3 is nice too
this mod includes: New sounds for weapons, new skins for weapons and strogg, new UI, and rearranged music!
