1.6: - added a new PreferLooseFiles setting which gives priority to loose/unpacked files in the game folder over the files inside .rcf packages. You can now mod the files contained inside .rcf without needing to unpack the whole .rcf first as most mod guides needed you to previously, almost like a mod-loader for the game, should work with majority of files in the game but unsure if it works with all of them, any feedback is appreciated! - Added EnableDevMenu setting to enable the P1 "dev menu" option on main menu, and the tilde-key menu on pause screen
1.5.1: - added a new MaxSampleRate setting which adjusts the max sample rate supported by the game, the default value should let audio work properly across almost all audio device sample rates now, but if you notice any audio issues you can disable this by changing it to 0 - fixed FOVOffset so that negative offsets can work properly (thanks to kwqweasd for reporting!)
1.5: This adds a new FixButtonTapTickRate setting which should be able to help with the button-mashing sections when using RemoveTickRateLimit, no more needing to break your controller to hijack vehicles! (this fix may affect other things that require button-mashing, if you encounter anything that seems off with it, or any other issues that happen with RemoveTickRateLimit enabled, please let me know!)
1.4a: AMD/DXVK users: the 1.4a version should now include a fix for the AMD shadow issue (there's no option in INI for it, it'll always be enabled automatically)
I don't actually have an AMD card to check with though, so would appreciate hearing from any AMD/DXVK users that try it out!
I went from being in shock at the abandonware I was seeing stuttering itself to pieces on the screen in front of me... to enjoying that sweet, sweet nostalgia rush I was desperate for.
Easily the best 2 minutes I've ever spent installing and configuring a mod. Though clearly the time you've invested getting it to that point is several factors of scale high, thank you!!
I'm highly certain this works, but I still have small issues with the frames stuttering when moving camera left and right, but ONLY then. it is playable at least so thank you (not the worst I've endured)
(Edit) No worries! I meddled in the settings and it works perfectly now! thank you a lot, this is the best feeling!
Hey so I recently downloaded this, extract into the folder with the prototypef.exe. Before it ran smoothly but would crash when i would try to load a file. now it stutters and drops to 3-6 fps and changing in game settings doesnt help it either. I had edited the FPS to max it AT 60, seeing if that would help but nope. maybe my resolution is too high? I normally have my computer set to 4k so maybe as an older game it doesn't like that high of a resolution lol. Any ideas?
Tried using every fix, and yours too, but my game still stuck on 2009 Activision trade mark. Do you know maybe what is the issue? More detailed here: https://www.reddit.com/r/PrototypeGame/comments/1cahuq5/stuck_on_trademarkloading_screen_nothing_helps/
Hey just saw your post, glad you found a fix for it, wouldn't have thought userprofile stuff could break it like that, something to keep in mind if anyone else has issue at the trademark screen.
from 25fps to 60fps, game loads faster and resolution looks better (from 1080 to i assume 4k, it just says "label" and i don't want to adjust it to mess anything up) this mod is amazing! i love you!!!
