Are you still having troubles? I just tested it again this morning and it seems to be working, so I don't think an update broke it. Revalidate the game files and double check where you put it and see if it works then.
I have the same problem, when I want to change the file to replace, it does not directly replace it and the mod folder is pasted, after that when I start the game, it does not start :C
we don't add the file, we replace it (overwrite) (make a backup first) - not sure if this helps... Also, my game version is 41.78.12. And... I only downloaded the old file named 'zoom in' or something, the one that only adds the 25% zoom option.
The only thing I've noticed is that the tile edges are visible at 50% now, in the police station at Muldraugh - too busy with other mods to look into this, so if anyone could...
little detail: if we only make a copy of the file in the same directory/folder, we will end with 2 files: a "MultiTextureFBO2.class" (original, which we will overwrite), and a "MultiTextureFBO2 - Copy.class", right? But the thing is, that the game will read both files and who knows what will happen. So when we opt for making a backup copy in that way, make sure that you change the file extension, in my case, "MultiTextureFBO2.class-" or "MultiTextureFBO2.class-original" then the game will ignore that file now that it has an invalid extension
It is possible, but you would need to either compile it, or use a bytescript editor. I can make an update with more zoom options if you would like. Do you want me to split the difference and do like 12%?
Did you use a bytescript editor? I think recompiling would be a nightmare right? I'm interested in making minor changes like this, remove spear/knife instakill for example. I have decompiled code but no way to use edits.
Thanks for this btw its great to be able to zoom right in.
For the first version I used Dirty Joe's bytscript editor, but then I found Recafe. Its pretty good at recompiling, but you do have to add all the dependancies manually.
It's client side, NOT server side, so any player that wants to use it just installs it as instructed and PRESTO zoom levels. Tested and used for several hundred hours on my own Private server, 4 players use it and have never had any issues.
Now we get to see all the cool tattoo's, eye colors, and other nifty features from mods used.
Hey, I think all the steam workshop mods for project zomboid modify the Lua files, as they are accessible by the default mod loader. This mod modifies the java files, which are aren't usable by the default mod loader. This is also my first mod, so I haven't dealt with the steam workshop system before. Thanks.

Merci !! :)
You should upload this to the Workshop.
It's a lifesaver when you remembered you parked your car somewhere in the neighbourhood, lol
Super curious, however. I am trying to get a higher resolution of 1440, but with a zoom level equivalent of running 720 at 25% zoom.
It would mean a zoom level of around 10-13% give or take. Can I modifiy the file on my end to change the zoom percentage?

Thanks.
Super annoying. I came here for the zoom, not the 360 vision.
