Going to sound like a lamer, since I like anime but looking at the screenshots I really loved the pattern and design and was a bit saddened it's got a decal on it. lol

Maybe try applying a 50% grey mask on the character so it's darker? Project Wingman hates bright colored skins, and it makes your character invisible in sunny conditions.
