Tried this on the GOG version and it works brilliantly, I re-binded the controls in the main menu before starting a new game. Button prompts show up in the combo list which is exactly what I needed this mod for ( although strangely I have to move my mouse to get the prompts to show in the combo list ) . The only thing that the prompts don't appear in is the tutorial pop-ups for some reason but all in all this was a great job ! Do you think this mod would work as well for The Two Thrones?
Good mod, buttons work properly, but the on screen prompts don't match. Example: pressing square does do sword attack, but the screen text says "O". X rolls but screen says "square". Circle prompt shows "X". R3 shows "RS Left". R2 shows "RS right". Share shows "L2". Options shows "R2". I am on Steam and have disabled steam input
Hi, i'm on the german gog version and get no ingame or menu sound (music, sound effects, voices, just everything) after using the POPData.bf from your mod. FMV Sounds work. I guess because they are pre-rendered videos. Sound works again using the original POPData.bf from the german version.
The button prompts itself work like they should with the mod.
I already tried to kind of re-create your changes (that i can see) under "Actions strings", "Gamepads" and "Input event names - Long version for the tutorial" in my original POPData.bf but the game won't start afterwards.
Any ideas?
EDIT: Forgot to mention that the language in FMVs changes to english with your mod, while it's german with the original POPData.bf. Menu stays german, don't know about ingame, did not play any further with no sound.
if you edit the file it must be 19,908 bytesin size after your changes.
when you have been recreating the changes the file size has likely changed by a few bytes and now will stop game from launching.
you will need to add/remove text to reach 19,908 bytes file size, this can be checked by viewing the files properties. at the bottom of the data file in my download there is ascii art. this was only added to fill out data and meet the required file size you could do the same by just adding aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa to your file and it will increase the size if it is too small.
try disabling steam input. I wonder if that is causing some kind of conflict with the binds used by the PS5 pad.
If you are using an Xbox controller that would definitely be the reason, this mod is for a PS5 Controller specifically as they have different button assignments that get picked up my most games, if you want one for Xbox pad look on the Warrior Within PCGamingWiki I think they have a file on there that is for Xbox pads. If that's broken let me know and I can probably make one.

How about doing the same mod for Sands of Time and Two Thrones? It should be the same engine.
apologies in advance if it takes me a while to get round to it.
if I end up getting my hands on some ill try and get round to making something for you.

spaces also count towards file size.
sorry I took so long replying :P
I did use a Xbox controller but even with that, Xbox A = PS X but here it is inverted with PS Square
