And update to what chew222 said. WeMod has implemented a 3 hour rule for new accounts, made after a cutoff date. Any account from before that date can still use WeMod for free for however long they want. But accounts made after that date can only use Wemod for 3 hours a day, before being told that they need to upgrade to Pro in order to use the program further.
I was going to use this but i was hoping that you can still empty the mags to balance things out, unfortunately no....you just keep shooting forever and that kills all fun.
Without this mod and the one button hacking mod, the game is pretty unplayable. You can add other mods after that, but those two are pretty much a requirement if you want to play the game at all. Prey 2017 has some good features, but there are some things about it that are completely terrible. This idea that the game would be more exciting if the hacking skill doesn't work and the weapons are useless would be great examples of what I'm speaking of. In my first game without mods, I didn't bother with the hacking skill and was killing everything with my wrench. I didn't even finish that game before I started a new one with mods.
Note for anyone else who cannot get this cheat menu to show up; Another mod called Nearly Infinite Ammo performs essentially the same task, and works perfectly... https://www.nexusmods.com/prey2017/mods/14
His new version listed in the comments corrects that problem. At least it did in my game. Or correction, his cheat menu came up but the menu for survival options didn't. And I actually like the way this mod works better than the one you are mentioning. It's a much cleaner solution that doesn't have as much impact on game play. You don't get extra ammo, but you also don't lose any when you shoot. And you are also able to shoot even if you have zero ammo. And then there is a toggle for turning it on and off. In my opinion, it's flawlessly executed. I was also pleased to see that it works with grenades as well. The difference there is that you need to acquire at least one grenade of each type for it to work. So for me, it doesn't take away the challenge of acquiring the weapons you want. It just thwarts the effort of the game developer to make them completely useless. I spent most of my game killing things with a wrench. It was ridiculous. Why even bother with weapons at that point?
My main problem with this mod is that I can't endorse it more than once. The version you have here to download doesn't work quite right with my game. It shows survival difficulty instead of story difficulty, and it doesn't display the survival options on the new game menu. Otherwise, it works well. I then tried the new version in your comments, and it works like a dream. I just question whether your cheat menu is properly labeled. This mod isn't a cheat. It's a bug fix. If the developers knew what they were doing, it would be a standard feature of the game. And the way it's written, it looks like one. The ability to toggle it on and off is a great feature. This mod is extremely well written. Everything about it, works perfectly. But you just might want to add the newer version to your file list here as a standard download. Otherwise, someone might not realize that it's available.
