I'm so sorry for your loss. These will look beautiful in my Tundra-themed zoo - thank you so much for turning your pain into something so beautiful. :)
I'm so sorry to hear about what happened to Lara. Hope she's doing much better past the pearly gates; she'll always love you, and will always be with you.
Giving you much love for your loss <33 I don't know the details obviously but I don't think the vet is what caused her death, and sadly it was inevitable either way. Even if it is a shitty one, they're still a vet "clinic" and I think you did the right thing and took responsibility when needed, I truly believe she lived longer because of you taking appropriate action. Please take care of yourself, and I am sure you gave her a home that any husky would've wanted, especially Lara. :)
If you want to know more, here's the thing: the vet I used to go to (until what happened) made a scan and told me that Lara *could* have had an internal infection or a kidney issue, but he didn't specify anything or even tell if it's something serious or not. This is because he doesn't have the equipment to see further what's behind what he saw so far. However, he could have told me about the fact that he couldn't see past what his computer let him see, and that there's a chance that it might have been something serious or even life-threatening, and that I should have gone to a 24/7 vet clinic for good of my dog. And he didn't. That's why I brought this up in my story.
Also, when I talked with people who knew Lara besides me, some of them told me of their bad experiences with this vet. One lady in particular told me that she had an English bulldog, who lived with her for a while, one day she caught her bulldog with one of the ears bleeding out, and rushed him/her to the vet (the same I used to go to). The vet put a needle on the ear where the blood was coming out, and then she and her dog left. And when they were coming home, her dog suddenly freezed and collapsed, and he/she died instantly. This was the reason why that lady changed her trusted vet and went to a clinic which is next to a veterinarian medicine university, and she told me that they were among the best in the country.
Should I get a next dog to carry on the legacy of Lara and Luna (my first dog, a German shepherd who lived with me and my family and eventually Lara met her), I don't know what would be coming for me, but if there's one certain thing I'll do, this will be about the fact that I will change my trusted vet. There's no question about it.
Nothing to do with the mod as i am not personally interested in it, but i hope you feeling well dude. May Lara roam the eternal Hunting grounds (an old shamanistic saying).
My deepest condolences. Having a dog (that incidentally also looks wildish and close to nature) myself I can't even imagine what you're feeling and can only hope you're processing it as well as possible - whatever that may look like.
I bet there will definitely be a lot of loved digital Laras in a lot of PZs.
Thanks for your condolences. Having a dog, no matter if it's purebreed or mixed, is one of the best things you can ever experience in life. But the fact that mine being a husky was so similar to a wolf gave me a feel of connection with the lifeforms outside our human world belonging to the universe that we simply call nature. It felt so special to me.
I'd like to know what dog you have, since you told me that yours looks as wildish as mine. But especially, I hope you and your dog will live your best life.
Looks amazing! The Mexican Wolf wouldn't happen to be next would it? I know Levelwolf made one, but she doesn't appear to intend to update it. If not, we're badly in need of Indian wolves or Arabian leopards

Hope Lara is now chasing squirrels in the Kingdom of God.
